It was only a Regional. They beat Cougar High in the Super Regional. As bad as UT has been this year, that Todd Whitting Train Wreck has been fun to watch.

    He is more entrenched than Mack was. He's not going anywhere any time soon.   He went to Omaha last year and recruits like crazy. The MLB draft has killed UT (and many other programs). 

He was an innocent, pot smoking, bystander. 

Coach K understands that the "One and Done" is a possible end game, but does not diminish the educational process of his University by blatantly selling the point to recruits.   Coach Cal is the complete opposite. I would say that he considers the fact that he can get you in the pros in one year as his biggest selling point.   Which one is the better coach? It's a landslide at 5 to 1.

Money is not an issue at WSU. For a school their size, they have a fairly well funded endowment. So, you could say the Shockers are well endowed.

Rick Barnes' new contract at the other ut is for 6 years at $2.25M /  year plus incentives.   Not going to feel to sorry for that dude.

One year ago today (3-31-2014) my wife started her battle with breast cancer. It has been a tough year, but as of now she is doing awesome.   She will conclude her chemo treatments in August. It will be a great day to witness her ring that bell at MD Anderson.   It is far from over. She still has some surgeries left to repair some cosmetic aspects.   From talking to basketball coaches around here, Barnes did not coach much of anything. He recruited some good talent, but did not develop them,   They expect some players will leave if Smart is hired.   Smart has a reputation of "no nonsense" and holds players accountable. Barnes was the complete opposite.   Reminds me a lot of the UT football program.
