  1. This UTAM linebacker recruit at Cedar Hill will fit right in with the Aggies. He looks lost. Missing tackles right and left.
  2. Pick up Clemson. All about recruiting.
  3.   As much as I would love that to happen, it's quite possible UT does not get bowl eligible.
  4. Texas 3-4 with 1 of 4 losses to a now un-ranked BYU. No wins over any current ranked opponents.   UTAM 5-3 with no losses to an un-ranked opponent. No wins over any current ranked opponents.   Ags with a slight advantage. (Please don't bring up the SEC West rankings, you did not even compete with those teams)
  5.   Wickline is already losing favor with UT fans and alum's by not staying for the "Eyes of Texas" at the end of games.
  6. Steve Patterson was asked what it would cost? He gave an "estimate" IF they university, along with all other NCAA DI universities, were to pay players.    $5K for Cost of Living $5K to use their name/image   Not going to happen any time soon. Legally, that is.
  7. Gas up the Swag-o-copter:   List includes Kyler Murray. [Hidden Content]
  8. I would bet that most Horn fans are happy with the progression of this team in general. They have not lost to a team that they should not have and they have been in almost every game. The expectation was low this year, .500 would be a plus IMO.   As for you aggies, the meltdown on TxAgs says enough. (Not that any of us should visit any other forums)   Drunk Kenny Trill is one of my favorites.
  9. As frustrating as it has been, this is about where many thought they would be.   Arian Foster drives me crazy. When the ball is on the ground, TRY to pick it up!   Let's see-Lost on a Monday, a Thursday, and a Sunday. Maybe we are a Tuesday Night team.
  10. Famous Jameis will be the only thing that beats FSU. It will be interesting to see if the university rules on their investigation before the season is over.
  11. Last February my wife was diagnosed with Stage 2 breast cancer. Needless to say, it was quite a shock to our family.Lucky for us we live 45 minutes from one of the best cancer hospitals in the world with MD Anderson. In March she underwent a double mastectomy and started chemotherapy treatments every 3 weeks. The first 4 rounds of chemo were terrible (She would be out of commission for about 4 days.)   We have spent the last 11 weeks traveling to MD Anderson every Saturday morning (and when our daughter had a band contest we would go on Sunday) for the final chemo rounds. The side effects are not as bad, but they are still life altering. This Sunday, she will have her final round of chemo (she has 6 more months of going every 3 weeks for an infusion that is not as toxic as the chemotherapy)! Hopefully she will begin to grow her hair back soon and she will feel like herself again.   She will have reconstructive surgery in December, but I feel like the worst is behind her.   With this being Breast Cancer Awareness month, I wanted to share our story. Early detection is the key to fighting and cancer.   We may banter back and forth on this forum, but you guys do not know how much I really needed to "talk" to you during this time. I have not met any of you in person, but I wanted to thank you for providing me with an outlet.    Thank you!
  12. Marcus Mariota will win the Heisman. Prescott will lose to Ole Miss.
  13. Interesting points:    few thoughts from the 59-point loss and on the A&M program in general moving forward: * Did Sumlin’s early success at A&M, 11-2 in 2012, come from inheriting a disciplined bunch of upperclassmen and a dazzling newcomer in Johnny Manziel from the (gruff) Mike Sherman regime? Certainly hard to argue with that right now, considering Sumlin’s program has regressed in each of his three seasons. Sumlin is going to have to prove otherwise at this point. * An extremely astute observer of A&M football told me a year ago to keep an eye on the progress – or lack of – of the offensive line as the players get further and further away from the Sherman/Jim Turner tutelage, two men who are passionate and technically sound regarding the line. The current (and veteran) offensive line, thought to be the team’s biggest strength entering the season, is one of its biggest weaknesses. Why is that? * I’ll ask it again: Will this type of finesse offense work in the SEC West without a dual-threat quarterback like Manziel? Right now the evidence is stacked against that, as league defensive coordinators appeared to have figured out – and then some – Sumlin’s novel approach to offense (and that weak offensive line certainly doesn’t help). * There’s an awful lot of ugliness out there from mad Aggies for one of its most embarrassing stretches in program history, and I can’t say that I blame them. Ticket prices are sky high, the coach worked the school over for a $2 million raise during a fourth place finish in the SEC West last year (true loyalty is a long-lost word), and fans were asked to step up to pay for a $450 million ongoing renovation to Kyle Field with the idea they’re helping fund a quality product – that’s all contributed to eliciting this response. * It’s evident A&M’s lack of discipline off the field – around 20 arrests in the past 20 months or so – carries over to on the field, and that’s squarely on Sumlin. He’s reiterated the program is taking steps to remedy the discipline issues, and a good gauge of that will be the next nine months (leading to 2015 training camp).
  14. Calling Sumlin a "Tan Fran". Gotta love txags.
  15. ND got hosed. They ran the same play earlier and the penalty was not called. Right or wrong, if it's not a penalty then, don't call it with the game on the line.   I hope the NC game is as good as this one was. Very entertaining.
  16. Ok boys. Been gone for a while. What did I miss?   #WeRefuseToScore
  17. If I knew there was going to be so many seats available, I woukd have packed up the family and made a trip to Dallas.
  18. Arkie beats Collie 35-34 Soooooooooey!
  19. Every game is homecoming in aggie land ( that way they can increase their chances of at least winning 1 homecoming game.) Most universities have a Homecoming. It is not usually predicated on playing an opponent they can beat (like most high schools do) since most schedules are set years in advance.
  20. Someone has to beat them on the field first. The SEC champ, whoever it is, might have 2 losses.
