  I don't think they were really worried about Singleton. They were more upset at what his contract might do for other rookie contracts down the road.   The market determines the player salaries. His contract helped owner's and GM's set "market" prices.

 How is that going to be delivered? As part of the Basic cable package or will you have to add a Sports/SEC package? What about the deal with CBS? Will it expire or will they still have an SEC game on Saturday?   Surely you do not think the other Big 4 conferences will not get similar deals. That's why they want a D4. More money, more problems.

  No. UH was a higher seed than aTm. The games would have been in the 3rd Ward.   UT and UH were both 2 seeds. Tie breaker is the highest bid. Like Augie said-If it comes down to money, the games will be in Austin.    

He can't be any worse that what they have at 1st base right now. Just hope he don't Cheech and Chong his way out of the league.

  "National Seed" is where this joke starts. The SEC sent 10 teams to the NCAA regionals-2 advanced. Three others played for a Regional title. LSU was a national seed based on their financial statement only.   UH played no one. If they did, they usually lost. Their claim to fame is beating Rice 3 times (all on Tuesdays) and Texas Tech at The College Classic. They won the AAC tournament because it was pool play. Louisville would beat them in double elimination. Heck, they finished 3rd in the regular season.   They do have one of the best (if not the best) pitching coaches in the country-Frank Anderson. The day he arrived on campus UH started to win. Hopefully he will get another shot as a head coach next year. I never met the man and he barely knew my son but made several phone calls on his behalf to Emporia St (where he had coached). I have far more respect for him than anyone on that staff.   Texas plays in a tougher conference and has enough history/financial resources to win a tie breaker. Hook'em!

Probably going to be an opening at LSU after last nights exhibition. Not only did LSU under perform, they flat out quit.

  LSU can't even curb stomp UH.    Tigers are way over-rated. Not nearly the pitching they've had in the past. UH just might beat them again today.

  All things being equal-aTm is a better team offensively. Both teams should have their Friday starters available. Not sure how long they can go. aTm played one more game, but the CG by Stubblefield saved some arms.   Not having Peters available is the big difference IMO. Looks like the ags will be in Baton Rouge or back in Houston.
