Nope. I only have fun messing with aggies and aggie fans. My brother-in-law and sister-in-law are both aTm grads. My nephew attends aTm- Galveston and was just elected a Yell Leader for next year (there is a possiblity that he may get to participate in the games at Kyle Field next year). We have fun going at each other. Just like I enjoy it on here. My son played summer ball with current Aggie outfielder Jace Statum (Orangefield HS). He is a great kid and has a wonderful family. He also played on the Texas Rangers scout team in 2010 with several of the current aggie players. Cougar High is a completely different story. One that would take too long and would probably get me banned from SETX for offensive language. I will root for the aggie basball team again. They just let me down last night.

I found myself having to root for the aggie baseball team tonight. I thought for sure that an SEC powerhouse would easily take care of a crappy AAC team from the 3rd Ward. But no! The ags blew it! Never again I tell you. Never again.

Astros win 6-2. Worst to first! -
Aggies win SEC Divisional title. Will play in SEC Championship game in Atlanta. Sorry. Bad attempt. Even an April Fools joke should at least be believable.

Suspended "indefinitely"= until Kyle Allen struggles.

NFL player release thread.

He is not the type of "character" that the Texans tend to work with. But yes, he might be a possible option for the Browns. -
Gil Brandt â€@Gil_Brandt 58 mins #SMU QB Garrett Gilbert had unbelievable pro day. Completed 88 of 89 passes (if he had NFL WR would have been 89). 6-4,223, 4.83 40

A&M's Pro Day

Mike Evans- Now we're talking NFL caliber talent. That kid will make some NFL QB very happy. Hands like velcro. He will probably be a better pro than college player. -
I still don't understand the end game here. One of the main issues is injury. Do these guys want health benefits after they leave school? As far as I know, if you are injured on the job as an athlete, you are covered by the university's health insurance. My son broke his hand during a game with UH last season. We did not pay a dime for the surgery or rehab. What more do they want?

Thanks for your concerns. I am actually not at work for the next several days. I'm passing my time sititting in this MD Anderson waiting room debating the merits of one John Football. Heck, I'll talk about anything you want. It beats being here. -
A&M's Pro Day

Texas was terrible and their players were soft. Why would the NFL brass show up there? If Coach Strong does not win on the field, he will be gone too. Mediocre is not going to be acceptable at UT. -

So what exacty is the purpose of a Pro Day? Is he trying to work at Wal-Mart? Hell, Ryan Leaf "got paid". All he proved today is that he's better than a broomstick. -

Pretty sure John's off the field issues are well documented. If you're not up to date, it's worth a Google. Once again, you've missed the point. It's not about the genre of rap music. It's about a job interview and what some people find acceptable. IMO, based on the audience, I would have toned down the rap music. -

It may have eased some questions about arm strength, but not his maturity. I think most people understand that he takes care of his business ON the field. It's OFF the field where there are still questions. i would have toned down the rap music today, but then again I'm just an old fart. -

Yes, Jaws had the best assessment of JM's professional QB ability to date. Do you really think this "Pro Day" practice eliminated all (or any) of the questions about JM's draft status? Did he get taller? Did his offensive system in college change? Was he more mature? As far as I know not one person has questioned his athletic ability. Not one. They have questioned some of his "measurables" and many of his "immeasuarbles". If today elevated him to the #1 pick, the system is a joke. -

Getting live updates on Twitter. I love the hastag #JohnnyGay Wow! Helmet and shoulder pads! Did not see that coming, -
So how will these "poor" college athletes pay their Union Dues? Surely they do not expect their "employer" to include Union Dues along with the scholarship they already receive. Will the Union include ALL collegiate athletes or just the ones that consider themselves "important" (Football and Mens Basketball)? When you open Pandora's Box, you had better be prepared for the consequences.

Baytown Sterling grad Marshall is throwing his final Spring game today vs the ChiSox. The game is currently airing on the MLB Network (3-26-14, 3:05 PM). Brett is on the Reds 40 man roster and could be in the starting rotation while several pitchers are on the DL.

It will be interesting to see if these "unions" are also seperated by divisions: D1, D2, etc.... If you're a "Teamster" the only thing that distinguishes one member from another is tenure. Will these players be treated the same regardless of division? Will the kid from Trinity University receive the same represntation as the kid from LSU? It's a bad decision IMO.
