  1. Atwater. Yep.   Since Clowney does not go "full speed", he could never match that feat.
  2. Go, go Gadget spin control.   [Hidden Content]
  3.   Most over-rated hit of all time.   Let's see him lay a lick on The Nigerian Nightmare ala Steve Atwood. Now THAT was full contact.
  4. SMU had the Pony Express.   aTm has the Pineapple Express.
  5. This seems to be a growing (in more ways than one) trend in College Station.   Isn't Speedy still in high school?
  6. I guess that was a short lived experiment.   I agree. Since it is not a conference game, they should both play.
  7. First year with the new "All Texas" format. It will be interesting to see if attendance is up as planned.   I always liked the out of state schools coming. Gives you a chance to see some other schools.
  8.   That is offset by a poor performance in the bench press (Poor by NFL terms)  of 21 reps at 225 lbs.   For his position, which skill set is more important: speed of strength?
  9. Teams in the NFL are not going to pay him millions to run. His 40 time is useless.
  10. That was until Clowney showed up.    The Texans will not draft John John. If they keep the pick, it will be Bridgewater who is much more NFL ready.
  11. The Alabama Game Manager:   A J McCarron   6'3" and 1/4 220 lbs. 10 inch hands.
  12. [attachment=6:TS.JPG]   (Click on photo to enlarge)       Congrats to Nederland grad Trevin Sonnier for collecting his first D1 Home Run. Trevin is now at Dallas Baptist University.
  13. Looks like Johnny came up a little "short" this morning.   MANZIEL – 5’11 ¾, 207 with 9 7/8 hands. BRIDGEWATER – 6’2 1/8, 214 with 9 ¼ hands. BORTLES – 6’5, 232 with 9 3/8 hands.
  14. If they were winning, it would not matter. No one would be talking about the atmosphere.
  15. Q: Why do you think Charlie Strong is attacking Texas A&M with his “gadget” comment? Shouldn’t he just worry about his own team that might not win enough games to go bowling? Hector F., Houston   Hayes: Strong is doing exactly what the Texas coach, at some point, had to do by defining rival Texas A&M for what it is the last two years: third-place in the SEC West Division in 2012; fourth-place in 2013. I’m not sure I’d call it “gadget” but you get the picture. For all the hype surrounding the Aggies, what have they done other than introduce the world to the wonder that was Johnny Manziel? It’s certainly not their play against the SEC elite in ranked games (six losses in two seasons), or that thrilling come-from-behind win over Duke in the Chick-Fil-A Bowl. Think about this: two years ago, Kevin Sumlin had Houston unbeaten and playing in the Conference USA Championship Game – and lost to Southern Miss. Since then, he has led Texas A&M to a 20-6 record, signed a $5 million a year contract, and spearheaded momentum that convinced the university to undertake a $400 million renovation of Kyle Field. It’s an amazing story, really – usually reserved for a program that has won a national (or even conference) title. Not for a team that used one magical game (the 2012 win at Alabama) to redefine a program.
  16. Maybe the UT fans could stand the whole game to indicate their willingness to enter the game if needed. That seems to have translated into wins for other programs.   Here's my idea-Win some games and the fans will get excited.
