1. Nick Banks is the real deal. Region 3 MVP. Solid 5A team that dropped to 4A after the new high school opened in Tomball.  They will be tough to beat.
 2. Final (6 innings) Tomball. 10 Foster.      0 Tomball wins 4A Region 3 Title.
 3. If your school can afford turf practice fields, you probably have a pretty nice grass practice field to begin with. Other than that, with the field play turf, I do not see any benefit to practicing on turf over grass. It's not like the old days when the turf fields were like concrete. One negative is that most schools over-use their practice fields with soccer games. The other is the "crowning" on a grass surface. With today's pass happy offenses, that is not that big a deal either. When the veer and wishbone were popular, that crown for a RB was like a rolling a boulder downhill for alot of schools.
What is your point??... that was last year... Hearn did not play catcher last year as a freshman... Also Davenport was MVP last year... Does that mean he should have got it this year??? Davenport hit .456 this year in district and broke the strikeout record in the district with 104 K's (which was his from last year 89 K's).  And got 1st team pitcher this year.. Yea he was worthy of MVP again but did not get the votes.. No dought Thames had a better year..
Thames was a clear leader in the District:  Hit .560 and was 7-0 on the mound.
I batted .560 once..... Until the power went out and I was not able to save my data. Curse you Xbox!

 7.
No agreements have been made in regards to time, date, location or number of games in the Region III Championship.  I'm not sure where you are getting that you have a free pass to the State Tournament as PSN Sports will be broadcasting for Diboll next weekend and will be going on with them to Austin if they do win against Silsbee.  Oh by the way, my source is about as concrete as it can get, Coach Edd Trotter of Diboll.  Meeting for series details will take place sometime Monday. Best of Memorial holiday to everyone.
Simmer down. He said SETexas would have a representative. Never said which team it was going to be.

 9. I am more shocked that the reporter referred to the employee as "taking the Brown's to the Super Bowl." Probably about as inappropite a comment you can make. I just stay away from the yellow snowcones.
 10.
How is that nominated and selected? I know another kid from the Houston area that was selected and was wondering if it was worth playing in?
Yes. It's an excellent opportunity for some exposure. My son played for Team Texas several years ago. Not a lot of glamour, but some good talent.
 11.
I remembered Reid Garrett from watching lamar little league in that game vs Lake Charles with a berth in the little league world series on the line. I found this link that kind of talks about their path up to then. I recognize a few names off those articles now playing momfor george ranch high school plus reid for foster.. Lamar Little league was loaded in those years. [Hidden Content]
NVM
 12. The scary part is that Reed Garrett is only a sophomore. The sad part is that if he is not at that "magic" number on the radar gun, D1 schools will not even take a look at him. Thames will be ready for Game 3.
 13.
Who piched for BH?
Thames
 14. Game 1 Final Tomball. 4 Mont.      2 Edwards with a 3R walkoff HR for the Cougars. Tomball leads series 1-0
 15. 2 hit shutout of one of the better offensive teams in the region. I would say he was "crafty". Foster can swing the sticks. I think BH will still win the next two games.
