We will see how it all plays out and comes to fruition...but you can look at what I have posted and make your own analysis.
Hey this was meant to be a group activity so if I am wrong you guys correct it...maybe I am wrong...someone give anther take on the district. Don't be afraid to put something out there and be wrong...hell...happens to me pretty often.LOL! You might be right...live a little throw caution to the wind...anyway whatever, just trying make for a friendly knowledge filled forum debate.
 2.
Ec gets no respect. 6-6 ? C'mon man......
I was not trying to disrespect...lol...just made prediction based on what your probable pitching rotation would be v another and what their probable pitching rotation. Any way that was my process and my projected finish may not be worth a crap but if you read the final part of my post you see I used the word fruition...which would make reference all coming together as stated. Nevertheless I think every game will be hard fought...I love it because its fun to watch and the boys have a chance to get better!

 4. Well as 25-2a turns...with Deweyville going down last night things make a more interesting turn. This thing will go down to the wire for District even though playoff spots will be pretty well set by end of day next Tuesday...or a least we will know who has to do what. This has been a tough district this year...pitching has been great and think it going to come down to just that, pitching and rotation.
 5. To me I gotta give district to Deweyville...with their record and schedule line up they would have to have a complete meltdown with Howell on the hill...don't see it happening...past that it will be a dog fight for second and third between Kountze, EC and Hardin. By the end of this week we should have a pretty good idea.
 6. Some has got have a score...lol!
 7. The biggest problem is parents having bent and distorted view of their child's capabilities and some how think that they have some crystal ball that has shown them the future...No one knows, not really. Hard work, dedication and then more hard work is the only way next level is gonna happen and many many things have line up in the right order and at the right time to be successful and even then it's by the Grace of God that you even get an opportunity. I have watched the game for years and seen kids go from worrying about when pool time was gonna be to the pressure of scouts looking on...support you kids and let them make their own memories that you share in but dont try to sculpt them for your kids and then dictate that they live them! Instead of parents gone wild maybe name Parents living vicariously thru their kids...not everybody is like this but you guys know the type...

Deweyville can lose to Kountze all three times as long as they keep beating the teams they have already beat they will finish in the top two in the district.    JMO With franklin pitching for Kountze and howell for D-Ville it will be A 1-0 game that can go either way the guy that said the score would be 6-3 kountze must not have A clue NOBODY in this District can put up 6 on Howell LMAO
The person that made that statement one of the most well rounded knowledgeable baseball people around and has watched Deweyville and Kountze close...lmao! He was just making a friendly evaluation of the game..Howell is great but it does take a team and sometimes teams falter...anyway I hope Deweyville over looks Kountze...that's great for Kountze and really when it comes to our pitching...your choice left or right! Either way it will be a great game...I want Howell to pitch, he is a very talented young man and our batters can only get better by facing him!
Wich one of these studs did they get?
One that had a off night
Big congrats to Jacob Howell...great pitcher...good win Deweyville! UTFAN06...your on the nose...off night first time this year. For those who expect a 16 year old to be on every time they hit the bump, well lets just say that's a bit unfair! I was proud of him for taking it on the chin and trying to make difference elsewhere on the field...you hope for best and sometimes it's just one of those days...big thanks to Stevie Fregiae for coming and cleaning things up....great job kid!

 10. It will be a game...a win by Kountze Friday and Saturday against EC will put Kountze in the district drivers seat. Know team in this district has it warped up it can turn on a dime
 11.

What SS would I want the ball hit to with game on line in 7th? Haven't seen any west of Winnie, so I would go with either Erickson (Lumberton) or Garcia (Silsbee) at this point. As far as pitching, let me chew on it.
DITTO...well said! If the criteria is who can handle the pressure right now  with game on line, I would have to agree with Adminbaberuth.... both of these boys fit the bill.  Pitching, with the same criteria, Guidry based on last years day in day out performances, he's your man.  Jake Lemonine(sp) definitely had the expectations riding on him, but Guidry was often called upon to finish it up and did.  Haven't seen much 4a or 5a pitching so really can't compare him to them, but I have seen him under pressure in high profile summer games and he was successful there and most know he's going to play next level. If the criteria is based on Next Level capabilities then its a whole lot easier to be objective:  Most SS playing D1 have to be sub 7.0 runners, 80mph across infield, have hitting tools(maybe not power), fall into general physical slot 6'0" , 190#,  you get the idea....... How many kids fit that bill...I am not sure, perfect game seems to be a pretty good collector of such info.  I do know Buna has one such kid who will graduate 2014 Jacob Kelly, and he is having some shoulder issues and has been playing other positions to help take load of his arm.  Even with the God given tools he has, he expects his best chance will be at third base at next level.  Let's face it God just makes some amazing boys with amazing talents.  Little out of the Triangle but just a little north in Hemphill is one such boy....Justin Twine. Pitchers, I think we are just going to have to wait a couple of years for more of  these boys to grow and mature to see what God has in store for them and us.  Ashworth, Anderson, Shugart, Franklin, Cleveland, Marshall, Edelmon, and list goes on and on ......  super signs of greatest to come ..... but only seen on the field from time to time. I wish more time was spent praising an awesome play, a timely hit, great pitching outing, clever coaching, just more positive input here, where it is obviously read and eventually gets to all the boys.  I am not saying give them false praise, but I sure would like to see more building up than breaking them down.  Don't get me wrong, I believe in criticism, in fact my son might even say that's all I believe in, but the truth is I believe him and all our children, we all have a lot riding on them to be successful in life, and if a sport like baseball can help train them for the future...then I say "playball"
12. Congrats...Coach Fackler...doing a great job with those guys!
 13. According to ole Gilligan at Lamar...who ever said it was right...He re-ups his scholarships each year so if your work habit or grades is less than desirable, you might go from 50% to 25%. I have been told if you want it all covered you better be an academian as well as an exceptional player...or pitch around the century mark if your a right hander or 93-95 as a lefty. Told my kid he better work on the grades because pushing it up to mid 90's is probably harder to achieve. I understood your point Franchise...true full ride scholarships are a very very very rare thing. Not doubting anyone's college achievements. just saying...
 14.
Alot of Baseball still left, 6-games for the Pirates. Definately gonna be a tight race till the end.
What is certain is the way the schedule is done this year a head to lock is not possible...No ties...at the end there will be a definitive 1st, 2nd, and 3rd based on wins and losses and not runs given up or scored or strike out ect...just W's versus L's. LOVE IT!
 15. The question of who belongs on top in 25 - 2A will be answered by this coming Friday and Saturday.
 16. District shaping up to be tight race...IMO. Next Friday and Saturday will start the story ;)

Deweyville (4-1) 2. East Chambers (3-1) 3. Kountze (3-2) 4. Hardin (2-3) 5. Anahuac (0-5)
Deweyvilles problem will be winning without pitching Howell... If Deweyville can pull off A win like i think they will thursday night against Hardin that will knock hardin out of the running for first or second. JMO

McHenry has been pitching pretty well for the Pirates since District started, he has 2-wins and he closed out the EC win by pitching the last couple innings.  He pitched well against Kountze the 1st go around, the Defense didn't help him out with the errors and still held the Lions to only 4 runs, 2 being earned. So the Pirates feel confident with McHenry Pitching and he has delivered so far in District.
The only caveat...who your batters are hitting against.  Not taking anything away from McHenry. When other teams face Howell they have the same challenge. This district has some great pitching! Proud of all of them...but have to admit I'm a bit biased to Marshall and Franklin from Kountze...LOL...sorry. I can't wait till next Friday because it should bring a great match up between Deweyville and Kountze for round two...PITCHING DUEL BABY!
I agree, this District has some very good Pitchers in it.  Next Friday should be a great atmosphere with Franklin/Howell dueling. Lot's of Baseball left and it looks like it will come down to the last game or two to settle it.
Don't know for sure but may be Marshall or combination of both...hey what is Howells strike out stat so far this year?

 19. Very proud of Lions...had to hit one of 25-2a better guys, great game Mr. Williams! We also had play defense. In addition, pitching was very good!
 20.
I would like to see somebody research the top 10 era, k's, wins  in the area so far this season  and  be sure and include what grade level they are in.  I see some info. from fairly far away. I am talking the Golden Triangle area. I try and read Max Preps but some  area coaches will not input their stats to that Website.  I can probably name several. White-Lumb-11th., Guidry-BC-12th, Franklin-Kountze-10th, Marshall-Kountze-10th, A.Anderson-WOS-10th, G. Anderson-WOS-10th, Shugart-BC-10th, Howard -PAM-10th,. Anyhow I obviously do not know all the top Pitchers but someone out there does.
WOW TELL ME THE CLASS OF 2015 is not going to be salty! Pretty incredible
 21. The way Kountze "just using that for configuration of this thought" wins a district title; goes as follows, winning against AP all three times and beating EC, DP, & HH at least twice for a guaranteed outright district title. For a playoff spot it starts the same with AP, but differs in the rest.  That team would have to beat one of the above three teams twice and the other two just once and that would guarantee the third spot...beating two of those three twice and the other just once would in turn give you the second playoff spot. I am sure there are several back door ways to get there, but this is the most straight forward. If you don't like Kountze than feel free to insert your own team in that slot and follow the same pattern and it will end with the same outcome. No particular order...pitching is the wild card for this district, and not the lack of but just the opposite. The odds of winning my be a little better one vs the other but over all the below four are pretty tight. Kountze ... Odds are higher having two guys like Franklin and Marshall Deweyville ... Next best odds because of having a guy like Howell EC ... Decent pitching but good bats raises the odds in EC's favor. Hardin ... Near equal odds with a guy like williams and decent bats. THIS DISTRICT WILL REMAIN TIGHT THRU THIS NEXT ROUND OF PLAY...IT WILL COME DOWN TO THE ABOVE GUYS FINAL OUTING WITH ONE ANOTHER.
 22. Think as a combination Franklin and Marshall are the in the top 3 in this area...my reasoning...both are Soph. This year which gives great project ability  Franklin from the Right side at upper 80's solid and Marshall from the Left mid and upper 80's solid. Both have very good junk and are accurate. Combined I think the avg ERA is like 0.675 with Combined K' 107 counting Ethan's additional three he picked last night. They have pitched a combined 48 IP with 19 walks and an average of 2.23 strike outs per inning...defiantly a Dynamic Duo! Lol...ok that's a bit cheesie...but funny!
 23. Austin Marshall Soph. Kountze 20.66 IP, .75 ERA, 9 Walks, 49 K's
 24. Think Buna wins this game...glad to see Buna using their talent more efficiently than in the past. Noticed that they have used one of the areas more athletic ball payers in more than one capacity...that player being Glen Patrick. Getting that kid envolved in the field can't do anything but help. Of course it's hard to take him out from behind the plate but the Palmer kid makes that a much easier decision...he has been very consistent as well as an asset at the plate. Buna will get back on track to another playoff run starting tonight with a win over HF. People don't realize it but Buna has a great deal of talent especially in your Soph. And Jr. Ages ie...Franchise Baseball kids! Those kids will work their butts off to be winners!
