  1. Well we can now move past that trolling nomination (and for the record, no one appreciates a good troll more than me). A lot of speculation that this was an elite chess move by Trump to get Gaetz to resign since he basically doesn’t get along with anyone in Congress and he knew he had zero chance in getting him and his joker-esque eyebrows confirmed anyway. If so, well played Mr. President, well played. Makes a lot more sense from that perspective.
  2. Lol! That’s an excellent point. There will be several members of the bar who act upon his nomination. I don’t know how many of them I would consider real lawyers though 😃
  3. There is TDS and there is TWS and they are equally dangerous in my opinion. Gaetz getting that appointment was nothing more than payback for his unwavering support. You could probably poll the members of the bar of this country and that appointment would get less approval than Biden leaving office. Much like Thomas was used as an example above, maybe the biggest DEI appointment failure in the history of this country. He will almost certainly go down as the WOAT on the high court. Don’t believe me, ask Scalia when you get to heaven.
  4. This one will have plenty of opposition within the party, his main attribute being his loyalty to Trump, which appears to be good enough for other loyalists as well. The fact that he believed this to be best choice for the nation’s top lawyer would be troubling for most. Then again, I doubt very seriously he thought this guy was in the top 100, top 1000, etc of the most qualified for this appointment.
  5. Nice!! Safe travels. (And a rating of the grub.)
  6. I love the smell of bacon in the afternoon 😉
  7. Wait, you’d rather have a district championship than a closer bi-district loss? That’s crazy talk 😉
  8. Those two districts sometimes seem like the Southland conference being paired with the SEC in the first round of a collegiate playoff. But then BC and Huffman were both super competitive. Still not surprised by the sweep though. There’s a reason people are opting up in the 4A division and has much more to do with the actual districts, more so than bi-district matchups.
  9. Lost 97-71 at A&M. Most of that damage was done in the first half. Played pretty evenly after the intermission. The two top returners (Hamilton and knight) still playing limited minutes off the bench, not sure if that’s injury related. The kid from West Brook, Holifield, continues to impress. The biggest problem for the Cards continues to be defense. Teams always seem to shoot a high percentage from 3 against Lamar.
  10. Florida is doo doo water.
  11. If ever, wasn’t in our lifetimes.
  12. Wow that Georgia line is smelly. > 85 percent of betting public is on Georgia yet the line has dropped from 7 to 1.5? HUGE money is being dropped on Ole Miss obviously. Very interesting. Tech +4.5 at home is probably my favorite pick. Deion better wear a poncho. Those tortillas are coming.
  13. This is the correct answer (way more just did not vote vs switch over). And I get it - to reference a classic South Park episode, this was the all-time “giant douche vs turd sandwich” election. The “I’m not getting off the couch to vote for either of those clowns” attitude certainly shouldn’t be shocking. Unless you routinely wear a tin foil hat…then it’s probably the other one.
