Lindale (49) vs Little Cypress-Mauriceville (21) - FINAL

Wait, you’d rather have a district championship than a closer bi-district loss? That’s crazy talk 😉 -

Those two districts sometimes seem like the Southland conference being paired with the SEC in the first round of a collegiate playoff. But then BC and Huffman were both super competitive. Still not surprised by the sweep though. There’s a reason people are opting up in the 4A division and has much more to do with the actual districts, more so than bi-district matchups. -
ANY FIRST ROUND UPSET ANYONE?

Lost 97-71 at A&M. Most of that damage was done in the first half. Played pretty evenly after the intermission. The two top returners (Hamilton and knight) still playing limited minutes off the bench, not sure if that’s injury related. The kid from West Brook, Holifield, continues to impress. The biggest problem for the Cards continues to be defense. Teams always seem to shoot a high percentage from 3 against Lamar. -
Florida is doo doo water.

If ever, wasn’t in our lifetimes.

Wow that Georgia line is smelly. > 85 percent of betting public is on Georgia yet the line has dropped from 7 to 1.5? HUGE money is being dropped on Ole Miss obviously. Very interesting. Tech +4.5 at home is probably my favorite pick. Deion better wear a poncho. Those tortillas are coming.

So uh… Do People Still think 2020 Election Was Stolen?
TxHoops replied to HuntersLaptop2028's topic in Political Forum
This is the correct answer (way more just did not vote vs switch over). And I get it - to reference a classic South Park episode, this was the all-time “giant douche vs turd sandwich” election. The “I’m not getting off the couch to vote for either of those clowns” attitude certainly shouldn’t be shocking. Unless you routinely wear a tin foil hat…then it’s probably the other one. -

That freshman class just doesn’t believe in losing at anything. EC gonna need to step up that ‘cruiting game against HF… -

I’m not sure they wouldn’t. -
Thank you for your thoughts. Just genuinely curious because she definitely didn’t inspire the turnout of 4 years ago.

So it’s not just law enforcement topics? I don’t blame you for not posting more in the political topics (I generally avoid it to), but I would read more often if you did. There is better analysis in this post than 99 percent of the crap I see on CNN, Fox, or any of the other drivel out there. Great read and I appreciate your thoughts.

I was looking at the numbers this morning, and Trump obviously gained black voters, primarily men. More striking to me is he is going to end up with less votes than he did when he lost in 2020. Tin hat theories aside (although I’m sure that won’t stop some of you from posting them, it’s too engrained just as some claim TDS is on the opposite side - I think both sides are equally goofy), my suspicion is a decent percentage of the voters missing were men of color. And this is my question, especially to Big girl and any of other posters of color: is it the woman thing with Harris or was it just that she was seen as a weak candidate? (In point of fact, exit polling showed neither candidate was viewed favorably by the majority of the voters - what a shocker). I ask this because it’s been my experience (and it’s not a limited experience and involves men of all ages), black men in general are more homophobic than white men. To be fair, maybe they are just more vocal about it (or less afraid to vocalize it) but it seems to me to be that way by a decent margin. Has that also been your experiences? And if that is indeed true, are they also more resistant to a woman being in the ultimate position of power? I ask these questions because I’m genuinely curious and honestly don’t mind asking questions that might seem taboo, especially the older I get. Anyway, if this offends anyone, I guess I cared less about that than my desire to gain some understanding in these areas. The numbers being released have just really piqued my curiosity.

I have a feeling you probably agree but I trust Vegas odds way more than any polls.

At least they didn’t rob him twice… -
It’s also Florida, man. And I’m sure Georgia prefers these types of assaults vs. their whiny coach on the opposing team’s qb.
-
I’ve been saying they need to give that man 10 yrs/$150M.

At least you bet on both teams from that state. Lot of sharp money on the other one.

Exhibition loss to DII LSU Alexandria last night, 83-80. Their best returning player, Hamilton, only played 10 minutes and arguably their best scorer, BB Knight didn’t play at all. Haven’t seen the new players yet and they seemed to rely heavily on two of the juco transfer guards. I will say I did see a postseason LSU-A game last year and the Natt kid who hit the game winner last night would be an all-conference type player in the SLC. But you never want to lose to a lower division school, even in an exhibition game, especially at home, especially leading by 9 at half. Cards put up 51 in the first half, but when the stop falling, just don’t have the defense to rely upon and struggle keeping people from getting to the basket. Having said all that, saw McNeese in a controlled scrimmage. They are even better than last year and without a tremendously off game, won’t be tested in that league. High mid-major roster in a low major league.
