  1. I’m certain Mulkey would agree with you. And I agree 100 percent about Clark. She is something else. I never thought I would see the day I would rather watch the women’s tournament than the men’s, yet here we are.
  2. We fall for the media’s bs on both sides over and over again. Like Bart Simpson touching the stove. Anyone remember this narrative? Tough to have it both ways… [Hidden Content]
  3. The irony is Mulkey was the only major sport coach at Baylor who refused to let her players participate in BLM protests and has an American Flag suit in her repertoire…
  4. They didn’t walk off. They were in the locker room when the anthem was played. Like both teams usually are in probably 99 percent of the 200 or so college basketball games I’ve attended. I get the criticism and don’t fault you for it. But it’s a college basketball issue, men’s and women’s, not an LSU issue. I would be surprised if Iowa is always out there as well. Coaches use the time when they play the anthem and school songs to do last minute prep. Unlike football when the teams are already out there when it’s played.
  5. Unbelievable Cougar High advanced. I’ll say it, if Wade Taylor had even been “okay”, they win that game comfortably. He was selling from beginning to end and was just god awful. Tough to beat a one-seed when your best player is playing like it’s the 15th run of an open gym but the Ags almost did just that. They were the better team last night imo.
  6. Barnes looks like Grisham and Terry looks like Gus Fring from Breaking Bad. Or at least some think so (including me 😉 )
  7. John Grisham > Gus Fring
  8. I have no reservation saying BTHO Cougar High! (Ok, that was a bit of a lie and I may or may not have thrown up in my mouth a little bit but I am definitely Team Aggy/Buzz/Hef tonight 👍)
  9. This was the weakest I’ve seen the Southland conference in many years. But I thought McNeese may have been good enough to compete and get a tourney win because they were that much better than the rest of the league. Apparently not. Getting run out of the gym. I did tell someone they wouldn’t been a solid double digit dog against that ACU team that beat Texas a few years ago in the first round. That team was significantly better than McNeese, but so was the league then when you had Sam Houston, SFA, etc.
  10. Samford will be tough in the second round 😉
  11. Ahhh makes sense. I was just looking at the WNIT field and they have some stinkers in that one. Didn’t realize NCAA owns the men’s but not the women’s NIT
  12. So not even an NIT bid? They did change the rule this year. Last year it would have been an automatic NIT bid as regular season champions.
  13. I honestly hope he does. I’ve always been a Buzz fan and there’s no secret he’s given this kid the keys from the beginning.
  14. I wonder if this will help keep Wade Taylor? Rumor has it he was a lock to enter the portal after the season. He was already about to get paid. This will drive that number up. Cougar High is allegedly a front runner for his services.
  15. They were rated like 21 last week, in the mid major poll. Their name got tossed in the recycle bin as the buzzer sounded. Might help them hang on to Aqua for another season though.
  16. Gave him an extension worth 3 times what the next highest paid coach makes (Brooks) and won’t have to pay a nickel of it and will pocket over a cool mil. They need to throw the AD Schroyer a stack of those flags (chips) from the Nugget.
  17. Agreed. And same here. Having this same discussion today. They deserve to be in regardless. But this conference is pretty low on the national scale and getting two teams in would be unheard of. Will Wade factor would help obviously.
  18. Rumor has it that 1.2 million buyout won’t make it to the summer. He will be joining his former conference allegedly.
  19. There are levels to this. Players and coaching. McNeese is on a different one on both fronts.
  20. See I knew you were way better equipped. That’s a really good list.
  21. That’s a much tougher question and one that our site director would be much more qualified to answer 😉 In all seriousness, I would defer to someone who has seen ALL of the area teams to answer that one (I.e., you).
  22. Good question. Primarily defense and rebounding. Size and athleticism certainly factor into that. To oversimplify, if I’m picking teams in a pick up game, I’m almost always taking Miller first (unless it’s my last pick and I really need shooting). No knock on Zac, him being in the conversation with 5 D1 players (and yes, Miller would be D1 in either sport), is high praise.
  23. In advance of the Enterprise doing its Super Gold team, who are your 5 (and 5 ONLY, this isn’t a 145 man all SETX team as selected by the coaches). For me, there are 4 no brainers - Dotson and Payia from BU, Simmons from WB, and Harris from Silsbee. The 5th is a struggle between 2 in my mind, and I would lean Drelon Miller, even if he is a “football guy.” The other option would be Sells from Kountze, who I would be fine with. I would give the nod to Miller because he’s a senior and a more well rounded player imo.
  24. 7 teams>in district, 35 players honored. I guess it didn’t matter when it got released since virtually everyone got something. 20 more players honored in 19-4A than the three All NBA teams, despite having 23 less teams. Why not have 7 co-Coaches of the Year? 😂
