  1. I seem to recall a game where Harley completely controlled the tempo and the game ended in a one basket win with both teams scoring in the 40s or something. I can’t remember if LCM actually won that one though. AAW would be the guy to tell you the last time Silsbee lost to the bears though.
  2. Oh ok. I thought Silsbee was forced to forfeit which I thought was ridiculous at the time. No need to rehash that of course lol.
  3. Technically the bench clearing brawl game that ended in a Silsbee forfeit.
  4. By the way, a coach leaves A&M for a position at Alabama (obvious upgrade). Leaves that job to take a job at The University of Texas. At least we still know the pecking order around here...
  5. Why are almost half the posts in a thread about the Longhorn coaching staff by an aggy? Yes they’ve moved on 😂🤣 #obsessionstillnoted
  6. I would love to know who came up with this plan and the rationale behind it. My experience has been that when you see a decision so devoid of logic you can’t begin to comprehend it, the answer is almost invariably laziness.
  7. Is this the “lite-est” version of Silsbee lite to date?
  8. Yes, I don’t condone what was “done to him” but to say his and his family’s lives were ruined... Does anyone even remember Long Dong Silver anymore?
  9. As one of our mutual friends would say, come now...
  10. That seems reasonable.
  11. My guy 😂🤣. Always seem to like where your head is at.
  12. Completely agree. The Vidor ruling was beyond ridiculous. But you’re right - once that set the precedent, there’s no going back. Hard to imagine what they were thinking when so many other districts are doing makeups. The silver lining, if there is one, is you draw the two weakest teams in the district for these two games. However, when you had so many youngsters already up on varsity, it’s still a hard hill to climb.
  13. And here is the hazard or my making a Silsbee vs field bet before district started 😳
  14. No doubt most of them do. He just does it as frequently as any. I don’t know that my point was anything other than maybe an attempt at comedy (maybe a poor attempt) and a little irony. Do I think he was “talking out of his arse” in this interview? I’m certainly not clairvoyant. But based upon what I’ve observed with him and his comments in general, I doubt he put great thought in his analysis that the economy does better under Democrats. I don’t know exactly when this interview took place but I’m guessing 15-20 years ago. Even Wolf Blitzer quickly pointed out the disasterous Carter administration to counter this claim. So yes, I think he was just doing his “I’ll just spout off any thought that enters my head” routine.
  15. Look, it’s not like it’s unusual for this guy to talk out of his arse. Even some of his most ardent supporters would concede that. I’m not in the “sky is falling” camp yet, but I certainly prefer gridlock in general. Either side of the aisle having complete and unfettered control scares the crap out of me.
  16. I’m still trying to figure out what they’re trying to accomplish. No one’s clicking in those threads....
  17. That game is tonight per the schedule posted above...
  18. Yes, the district’s co-offensive mvp last year. I said “arguably” their best player above because I really, really like their young PG. But despite what the coach says above, it is extremely hard to replace your leading scorer at any level, and certainly at the HS level. And then you have intangibles such as senior leadership (kid who is hurt is a senior and a multi-year starter) that are hard to quantify but can have a huge impact nonetheless.
  19. I know their best two players missed the last few games due to injury but I have no idea if they played last night.
  20. Arguably their best player has been out the past few games. Much like HF has been missing their best two players the past few games. Injuries, not Covid. Injuries to key players are part of sports but still tough to overcome, especially in HS.
  21. OF 63 LCM 50 F Bobcats led by as many as 23 in the second half. Credit Bears for playing hard until final buzzer.
