LeBron and the best coach heās ever played for competed in this yearās NBA finals. They just happened to be on opposite benches.

About half the way through the 3 minute video, Rick Wilson (who is a very vocal critic of the President) describes this āwokeā movement about as eloquently as one can. Warning: the eloquence does contain a curse word, but it sometimes thereās just not a better way to describe something.

Sounds about right. The richest public university in the country, with some of the wealthiest boosters in the country. 20 million is peanuts.

I donāt know to be honest. From what I understand, it was once sung in black face by a racist group on campus. Not sure how it escalated into the song being racist. But that image, of Sam by himself, a lifelong fan who was taught you donāt leave before the Eyes is sung, will be Hermanās final nail (if the nail wasnāt the game itself). It is a complete failure of leadership in a photo. It is a coach leaving his captain on a vine, and I understand there was criticism of Sam for doing this in the locker room. Tom has lost this team, and now he has lost the powers that be. He might make the end of the season but he might not. It should be apparent to all that Tom was foolās gold. We didnāt break the bank on a coach that was on the hot seat of a crumbling program, but we did make a steam hire. Tom had a team with Zeke at OSU that was easy to call plays for. Then he inherited a senior QB with several future NFL players on defense. He was a hype hire and turned out to be just that. Now the question becomes whether the stench on Urban when he left tOSU has subsided enough to be hired at UT.

I still donāt understand why they were playing in that mess in Deweyville when AT&T Stadium in Daisetta was available. -

Probably got his or her feelings hurt. Iām no longer calling SETX officials refs. They will either be known as either āKarenā or āKieran,ā depending on their gender. -
I forget even when I have little interest in the football board, HD threads never disappoint. Good luck tonight to the fastest 2A team in history with the best grass stadium on earth.
-
Agreed. They will still be better than most in 4A, and should be a 2-3 playoff win team.
-
HJ will have the better overall team this year. Not last year. I will agree they were deeper but we are talking 4A basketball and Silsbee had one is the best HS players in the state. With him and the supporting cast, they were the best team in that district. Similar to people doubting Lumbertonās ability to make the playoffs this year...when you have a legit D1 player at that level, you are going to win a lot of games. And Bush was more than a legit D1 player. He was a SETX all time team type player. I will agree it was close last year. Probably very close. But if I had my choice of coaching one of those teams, give me Bray and the Tigers. This year I would take the Hawks all day long.

Judging by the handle, he might be a referee that has a beef with Coach Mitchell. And if heās a SETX referee, we all know who the ācluelessā one is. -

So question: is over .500 a good batting average? -

Looks about right to me. I think if pressed, I would go this exact order with Bridge City as a sleeper. -

I will let you know when you get to that point, buddy. The good news is that at that point, you wonāt understand what Iām telling you anyway.

Orange Country Basketball on the RISE
TxHoops replied to Jack of All Trades's topic in High School Boys Basketball
I hope youāre right but I believe Hardin County still controls this district. Silsbee and Lumberton should finish 1-2 Silsbee will always have the most quality depth and Lumberton has the best player in the district this year in McClure. As for the Orange County teams, you left out the best player (imo). Grant Boudreaux is the most complete player and has an elite basketball IQ. He is a true combo guard that can play both positions equally well. I will qualify that by saying this is among LCM, BC, and OF. Iām not as familiar with what WOS and Vidor have coming back. -
Still moved on I see. #ObsessionNoted #PoorAggy š

Such a bad sequence there. Coaching.
