  1. As for Harvey, I agree with your assessment. We played against him a few weeks ago in Houston and he didn’t score a point. And I couldn’t have been more impressed. He’s strong with the ball, every pass is crisp, and he never takes a defensive possession off. Everyone knows he can shoot the ball but even in a game where he wasn’t getting a ton of looks and the ball wasn’t falling when he did, he still positively impacted the game. Those are the ones I really enjoy watching.
  2. I wouldn’t read much into those. They are pretty bad at times. If you look at the 2020 list, which Hicks does (not Jones), they are hard to figure out. If they are about who the best college prospects are, you can’t have Lampkin behind bigs that are mid major because he had a LOT of high major offers and went power 5. Same thing with Hefner. He held tons of high major offers and went A&M, and they have him behind low mid majors. If it’s about who the best HS players are, then Bush has to be 1 (2 at the lowest if you want to put Cryer in front of him). But I didn’t see anyone, including LJ, that was a better HS player than Bush. So, that list just doesn’t make any sense.
  3. Just hit Austin. Doesn’t look good on the home front. Get out if you can. Stay safe everyone.
  4. Terrence Arceneaux picked up an A&M offer this weekend. Saw Keyonte George (ranked #12 in the country by ESPN in the 2022 class) up close and personal this morning. Arceneaux has a much more complete game to me. He affects the game on both ends of the floor MUCH more.
  5. Well, I’ve known 3 people in the last week to 10 days who have died and one of those has their spouse still in the hospital on a vent. Quite a hoax...
  6. On the original topic, I can confirm that the #1 2022 ranking placed on Terrence Arceneaux is well deserved. In a gym full of impressive players last weekend, he was the most impressive. Also saw Porchia and Yates. United is going to be something over the next couple of years.
  7. Not sure what alumni you are speaking of? I don’t think Shaka would be interested in playing a high school team.
  8. Heard today they were trying to add Bryce Griggs who previously had announced his transfer from Hightower to San Ysidro in Cali. If he moves back and plays at Legacy, then they have a team that could compete on a national stage.
  9. From what I understand, it’s a new prep-type school that plans on playing a national schedule. If true, they will get their heads beat in at that level.
  10. If it’s during the football season and silsbee is without their football guys, I would probably take HJ and lay the 12. Both teams full squads, I would probably take the Hawks and give 4-6.
  11. LSU loses the Texas game. I’m sure they will reschedule. LSU won’t want to miss that payday and Texas will facilitate. The way they do schedules now though, LSU may have to wait to 2030 to snag an opening.
  12. This one and Weisbrod’s game winner in OT against Ozen in the playoffs are the two that stick out to me in fairly recent history. Couldn’t find the video of the Nederland/Ozen finish.
  13. I also wonder the cause of her amputations. If she’s diabetic, I wouldn’t have her anywhere near a crowd of people.
  14. I don’t think I’ve seen an LCM player other than Jason Throop who would have gotten significant minutes for any Yates team in the past 20-30 years. This year is no different.
  15. I think this is the point: one group - “no prayer in schools; no student led bible study groups; no mention of Christ or God on Christmas, Easter, etc.” Also same group - “schools should teach kids more about Islam.” It’s separation of church and state. Not separation of Christianity and state.
  16. No question. 100 percent speculation. And direct proof that love him or hate him, the dude has a set the size of cantaloupes.
  17. I stand corrected! On my favorite movie too. Man I may watch it this afternoon just because.
  18. Yep. Everybody knew their boudin (also the best). But his Italian sausage and cannoli were as good as I’ve ever had.
  19. I think that is as precise an answer as you can make. I also think the cop can’t get around the causation issue either.
