  1. Never has there been this much crying about a team who literally has 2 wins against teams with winning records. The other 6 teams have won an average of 2 and a half games each. Don’t give me the SEC BS this year. It was thinner than owl feces this year.
  2. I’m getting a similar scouting report. If you have above average guard play, you should have a lot of success offensively. Of course, it still forces you into a pace that Wise wants to play if you don’t slow it down once you break it. And you still have to contend with the big. Even with it maybe being the weakest Yates team we’ve seen in a long while, I wouldn’t be surprised to see them win the region again. You gotta think with all the new faces getting the minutes, they are going to be a lot more experienced (and better) come playoff time.
  3. Legacy and Hightower. Since Legacy is a private and can openly recruit, Hightower is the public school beneficiary. And that’s more kids wanting to play with Griggs. When he graduates in 2022, Yates will be back to being option A I’m sure.
  4. No, Popovich has testicular fortitude. And he is all about the players. If ever there was a coach who would be highly disappointed in Huffman-type votes, it would be Gregg Popovich.
  5. It ain’t southeast Texas. They don’t have Huffman’s over there in H town voting down kids that are actually zoned to a district.
  6. That was my assumption. I know JY has more ballers than almost every school its size but that varsity bench is like 3 rows deep. Tough to leave much for the sub varsity teams.
  7. How is Yates JV usually? I mean for a 4A school that typically suits up about 76 players on varsity...
  8. [Hidden Content] 🤣😂
  9. Hope you’re right. What a great way for LCM to break out of a slump that would be. Go Bears!
  10. And, in the end, the coaches see it the same way as the committee... [Hidden Content]
  11. Unpopular but accurate opinion.
  12. The committee will be rooting very hard on the Tar Heels. If UNC wins, instant validation.
  13. 😂🤣😅🤣 I must admit the comedy relief provided by aggy who thought they were getting in was a “win” in general.
  14. In the end, ND’s best win was better than aggy’s and their second best win was as well. Plus, it’s a blue blood school that turns on sets vs a school that’s not even the biggest draw in its own state. No one but aggy is surprised by this.
  15. Poor Aggy 😂🤣 Good news is, apparently you will get the opportunity for Mack Brown to continue his ownership of all things aggy. So there’s that. Of course, we will get the “they didn’t want to be there,” even though they’ve been in BCS bowls almost never...
  16. Nah just put Cincinnati in if they win. ND and A&M both got railed by two of the teams in. Of all the years, this is the one to put a mid major in. And Cincy would have gone undefeated in the 6th best conference.
  17. Alabama In. Ohio St in. Notre Dame in. Will last spot go to Clemson or Cincinnati?
  18. Apparently he’s been “operating” with less for years...
  19. Do you honestly think Bush was a better HS player than Stephen Jackson?
  20. I’m not going to say Kasen was the best but he was right there. What I will say is that after watching Lamar play Southern Miss Tuesday, he might already be the Cards’ best player. He certainly was that night. And along with a 6-8, big bodied knockdown shooter from Estonia for USM, Kasen was one of the two best players in the gym that night.
  21. There’s the fallacy of so many’s thinking when ranking players. Much more to basketball than scoring....
  22. Me too. I wouldn’t be surprised if the top 3 teams all split.
