U. Of Texas Leftist to Dox Incoming Conservatives
TxHoops replied to Hagar's topic in Political Forum
You guys realize this is a radical student group, not the university? And it’s an anonymous group which makes it harder to police. Hence the condemnation from the UT spokesperson. University of Texas-Austin spokesperson Shilpa Bakre told Campus Reform, “students should never be targeted or face harassment for their affiliations, political beliefs or any other reason. The anonymous group behind this doxxing is not affiliated with the university, is not a registered student group, and should not present itself in that way. As they did last fall, University Police are continuing to work to ensure the safety of any targeted students and monitor for any potential criminal actions.” So before we start condemning The University, maybe let’s start with actually reading the article. And these radical groups exist on virtually every college campus, as the Texas State référence in the article is an example. Here is something that is actually University sanctioned, although I’m sure it will draw some criticism here as well: [Hidden Content] -
Every program you mentioned has had transfers and has had transfers recently. Kids have parents who make decisions for those kids, including where they go to school. The rules are then applied as to when they can play. Some of the top coaches in this area have had a lot of these transfers, although I have no desire to point out coaches (who didn’t move those kids) or the kids who did nothing wrong in my opinion It’s a compliment to a coach when parents want their kids to learn from him or her. The kids HF has returning will most certainly be better this year. And like many other really good coaches, their school and program will continue to attract players. And lest I be misunderstood, I agree Silsbee, HJ, and Lumberton do things the right way. The implication, however, regarding HF is misguided.

And I was ridiculed when I said this hire would be a game changer This is not uncommon, and in fact extremely common in places like the metroplex. UIL can require a kid they deem not to be eligible for varsity play to play sub varsity for a year. After that, they are eligible to play under the rules. Those who know the game, and know it well, have known Coach Rideaux was going to make some school a heckuva coach. If HF realizes that and supports them, the Longhorns are going to be extremely competitive in the very near future.

The best part of that entire hearing, in my humble opinion, was Jim Jordan’s turn at questioning Mueller. The congressman from Ohio showed one of the benefits of having lawyers in politics (although arguably one of the few benefits). Jordan launched what amounted to a cross examination of Mueller that was pretty darn masterful. I was more than impressed.

Will Silsbee have a chance at state next year?

Coach Davis is as nice a guy as you will meet and goes above and beyond with his players. He can be a bit on the shy side with folks he doesn’t know which I suppose can come off a certain way. But he is the polar opposite of “uppity.” -
I think you may be right.

I’m admittedly biased but Big Val probably has as high a ceiling as any of them. Just had 13 boards and 8 blocks against perennial power WeR1 (who has two huge, high D1 bigs). One of their wings rose up off the baseline to throw one down and Valentin met him with his head above the rim and sent that thing out of the gym. It was SportsCenter quality. Hoping the video guy captured it.

And Wise has a much bigger recruiting budget than Sig so you know there are going to be some kids there we haven’t anticipated. Haven’t really seen much of the younger silsbee kids but anxious to do so. One thing is for certain, even with Bush, he’s going to need some help against that relentless pressure. Too much for almost any one guard to fade on his own -
That’s a pretty solid list that most college coaches would agree with, based on recruitability at the next levels. Clover should be moved to 3/4 area but overall impressive list.

Absolutely. There are levels to basketball like everything else in life. He will be at a level with other kids who are at his level. -

He’s 6-4 or 6-5 and more athletic than anyone mentioned ITT. The combination is why he is being recruited on a whole different level than some others mentioned. -
That was actually the one year anniversary. But thank you very much my friend.

Thanks for posting this. And absolutely. Thank you Todd for all you do! Here’s to many, many more!

3 consecutive state championship appearances with 2 championships in 3 years. I think you can get all the action you want on that not being duplicated. In the history of the state (not just a town), that hasn’t been done very often. -

Because everyone knows football recruiting rankings in June are important Even Chollie finished strong in recruiting. Honestly, it just recruits itself. Always has, always will.

Long time coming. Tigee’s one of the best basketball minds I’ve been around. Truly cerebral about the game and anyone who has worked with him has the utmost respect for him. And his passion for the kids isn’t lost on them. He tends to get the very best out of them.
