  1. OF 25 Evadale 11 End 1 Rebs with late run after trailing 23-3.
  2. Schools as in not just the high school.
  3. Another thing to point out is that Allen is and has been one of the fastest growing areas in the Metroplex, which means it's one of the fastest growing areas of the State. In fact, it's the 16th fastest growing city IN THE COUNTRY. I think we all have enough perspective to know that's not football related. Nice area, great schools, great facilities, and plethora of jobs in DFW. If parents choose to move to an area with their children, whether or not the kid is eligible to play shouldn't even be a discussion.
  4. Now you're talking. Can't wait. GO TIGERS!
  5. #1 was easy. Lifelong Cowboy fan and I can't stand him. And T.O. is understandable. He is pretty polarizing in general. The rest I don't get.
  6. Took an injury and a true freshman QB (who even struggled as a senior in the AAC) for Bama to get its first (and only) win against The University.
  7. That district is brutally tough. Good chance they have two get to regionals.
  8. Makes sense. I would go Huffman, Livingston (assuming they didn’t play out of their minds tonight), Liberty/Shepherd. Haven’t seen Shepherd this year though.
  9. It may have been they played really well tonight but they are 10-20 pts better than the Liberty team I saw last week. Both teams played really well tonight.
  10. V Catt 21p,19r,6b C Bryant 18p,3a C Prejean 14p,3r T Waggoner 12p,4r,5a K DuBose 9p C Gonzales 4p,3r C Choate 2p,3a H Puckett 1p
  11. Coy Bryant with his 6th 3 of the game at the buzzer for the win.
  12. OF 81 Livingston 79 F Livingston is going to be tough this year. Play very aggressively on the defensive end and have a couple who can really shoot it. Also have a some length. If I’m handicapping that district, they’re the best team behind Huffman.
  13. I wasn’t going to comment because sometimes it’s tough to say who is the “best” player on any given team. Sometimes it’s obvious. Take Silsbee this year - I honestly couldn’t say who is “best” because you have a few who do different things exceptionally. Nice problem to have. Similarly, that Big Sandy team was loaded. I think he is probably talking about Benson Williams who was a great player as well. I even really liked the kid who played post on that team (JoJo I think). One of my all time favorite SETX teams to watch.
  14. Or maybe mix it up. Some softer opponents for wins and some tougher to prepare for what you will see in district. That way the first time you see EC, it won’t seem like you’re in the Indy 500 driving a Yugo.
  15. Tennessee looks legit this year. Barnes has done a really good job everywhere he’s gone. You’re right about Tech. Tough to gauge how good they are with the schedule they’ve played. Texas snaps a 3 game skid today with a win over a pretty decent Purdue team despite a 40 pt effort by Atascocita’a Carsen Edwards. Took 11-25 3 pt effort to win. Looks like we will win this year when we shoot it really well, and struggle when we don’t. Other than the UNC game (where Roach went nuts), haven’t been overly impressed.
  16. Maybe the best HS tournament set up I’ve seen. HJ has it down to an art form for sure. Good luck to the Dragons. Hope you guys cut down the nets in SA.
  17. For those inquiring minds, Hefner dropped a 30 piece with six 3 balls. He continues to shoot it the way he has been, he’s going to a whole other level.
  18. Championship game will be WOS vs Splendora at 5pm. Silsbee vs Orangefield on the girls side at 3:30 pm.
