  1. Why do you think Mack is so high on it?? I kid, I kid.
  2. Was Tua’s to lose going into today. Question is whether he did. Kyler has been a big enough d bag over the past week that you would think he would have hurt his chances. But the voters typically don’t care about d-baggery as evidence by last year’s winner and even Manziel. Obviously Haskins made the best late case today. If I’m voting, it would still be Tua for me because it’s an award for the season. But we shall see. Who would have yours?
  3. True true
  4. Hmmm. A punch to the gut or a punch to the jewels. I will figure out which is the jewels and get back to you.
  5. Very true. I have found Brian English to be thoughtful and innovative. I think he would be very successful with many different types of personnel. Some coaches, as you well know, have a certain style which takes a certain type of player to fit. Coach English has also always been incredibly generous with his time and seems to have a genuine “thirst” for the game. That is to say, like all the great ones, he is constantly a student of the game and is always willing to talk and listen to ideas about it. I also believe he genuinely cares about the kids and I know he continues to try and help former players and even kids who aren’t a part of his program. Nederland is incredibly blessed to have him and I think they have a fan base that realizes it.
  6. Freaking Sooners are going to get in again. tOSU jumped out and is now screwing the pooch.
  7. Now THAT’s a matchup I’d like to see. Maybe the two best 3A teams in the history of this great State.
  8. English is fantastic. If someone is arguing he’s not, that’s the Hefner argument, i.e., asinine. If someone is arguing Boutte or Sutherland or Sigler is better, that’s a matter of opinion.
  9. Be honest, most people see rough. Aggy sees 5 moral victories...
  10. Both are SETX coaching greats for good reason. I think there’s a difference between someone making an argument that Boutte is the best coach in the region and someone implying Hefner isn’t THAT good. It’s night and day different. One is arguable, the other is asinine. (And by the way, he’s probably not at the top of my coaching list either but he certainly has a resumé where you can make that case.)
  11. They’ve lost some games but all have been close to tough teams (except maybe Waco Midway - don’t know much about them). Their one not so close loss was to Sunrise Christian by 16. They are a prep school out of Kansas that play the likes of IMG, Montverde, etc. Most of their players are high D1 kids that need to prep for whatever reason (many times academics) and many end up at Kansas, Wichita St, etc. One thing Duncanville does have is maybe the second best player in the state behind Maxey in Jahmius Ramsey. The future Red Raider is a monster.
  12. WH may be better. Duncanville may make it to state as well. In 6A. And WH just took them down.
  13. Honestly there is no way these aren’t two of the best 4 teams. Maybe the best 2 teams.
  14. Region 2 is going to be a _________
  15. Or let’s go Georgia! I’ll even take all the SEC jock hangers waving their participation ribbons over BlowU getting in.
  16. Oh well. Let’s go Buckeyes!
  17. What did you think of #20 for Cleveland?
  18. What time is the championship game supposed to go?
  19. ManBearPig!
