I thought Sigler has long had such a rule anyway. I was trying to remember if it was for an ejection or just a technical. I know there were a one game suspension or two a couple of years ago over some technicals relating to merely jawing during a game.
-
This was my question as well. I remember E’Torrion Wilridge having to sit out a game after being ejected from a game I was at (Central had a similar rule). The technical that put him out to the game he caught an alley oop sprinting up the court. His feet swung where if he had let go, he would have landed on his back. He also had at least one defender underneath him and he was looking straight down (looked at video as well). The first one he got called for the same thing when he went over the top of the defender attempting a put back and once again, hung a little too long but had someone under him. Anyway, he missed a game due to an extremely poor call, maybe both. Surely this isn’t what was contemplated by the UIL. Leave a bench during a confrontation, or participate in a physical altercation or fight, of course.

Thank you

When was that instituted? And if you are removed from a game due to 2 technical fouls, is that considered an “ejection”?

Now we have a WOS fan bringing up basketball in a Mustang-Tiger gridiron thread. PNG-Nederland may be our best rivalry, but this is without a doubt our most ADHD rivalry in SETX.

Oh lord, who did you bet abuse this time? (And don’t ruin that perfect meal with a darn margarita. Trade that pitcher in for a nice Cab.)

I believed silsbee was the most talented team in the district going into district play and not sure I was wrong. Question is will silsbee get over the hump. I don’t ever worry about the Mustangs’ mindset going into a big game because there is simply no one better than Cornel at getting his teams ready to play. The question for me (and one that will be answered) is whether the Tigers ca step and finally make enough plays to get over the Mustang hump. My only prediction is that this one will be worth the drive for all that make it.

[Hidden Content] Interesting read. No idea if there’s any more “meat” here than your wild UFO theories Hagar

RIP to a true class act. As my pal Hagar often says, reminds me of the old S&G lyric, “where have you gone Joe DiMaggio, our nation turns its lonely eyes to you.” Regardless of how you viewed his politics, he and his bride brought great class and dignity to the White House. One can only hope they are enjoying a reunion of epic proportions up above after their brief separation.

No doubt that was a huge hurdle they couldn’t clear. By the same token, no one has had a night on a CT defense like Jasper had early this season and we won’t likely see one again anytime soon, certainly not this season the way he has them playing now. But the ones on the field played in a game I have a feeling will be talked about for many years to come. Had that kind of feel to it.
-
Oh wow. Doesn’t silsbee have a “sit out the next game” rule when this happens?
-
I literally almost started a thread (because I knew one would come out just after, if not just before the end of the games) titled “The Battle of the Two Most Spoiled Fan Bases in SETX.” (WOS for football obviously, and Silsbee has been the standard for overall athletic excellence for the last several years.) I really think this is going to be another instant classic type game though.

Mustangs beat Liberty 47-46 in the championship game today. -
But honestly, I think it’s the reverse. Silsbee coaches have to get their kids believing they CAN win. Regardless of trash talking over the years, the Mustangs have owned the Tigers. That can effect your psyche. I would want my kids coming in with swagger and confidence. Because you better believe the Mustangs believe they will win every time they line up against them.

The Silsbee kids are generally more grounded than the fans
-
Likewise impressed with the Bulldog D. Other than some big plays, a whole lot of hitting and run stopping tonight. If you love old school football, tonight was a classic.
-
Yep. Silsbee’s ground game will be interesting against this rejuvenated swarm tackling chain gang D.
-
Hey Pac 12 - the 2011 SEC called and wants it’s championship games back.
-
Shot 5-27 beyond the arc. Tough to win. Radford is a tournament team with a win in South Bend already this year. Not a good loss but not a horrible one. You aren’t beating them without playing a decent game.
-
Speed on speed tonight. Jasper had trouble getting the corner the entire game.

Orangefield vs Santa Fe in champship game at Noon on Saturday. -
Support the local fuel economy I suppose...
-
Agreed. Apparently it was prearranged by our 3 SETX teams if silsbee won.
-
Nope. Driving to Porter. Don’t ask me.

Rematch #2 - Mustangs vs Tigers at Texan Drive. Silsbee hopes the revenge theme continues.
