31 yd run by Watson sets up an Ehlinger to Beck for a much needed TD. 14-0 UT
-
We need some points to start the 2nd half
-
Sam misses a wide open Beck for an easy score and then throws his first interception since the Maryland game. He hasn’t looked sharp at all since the opening drive.

By the way, Tre Watson should be the poster child for the student athlete. Already has a bachelor’s in Sociology from Berkley and now working on his graduate degree in social work from UT. Will end up with degrees from 2 of the public Ivies. Not a bad way to use your talents on the field to get a couple of expensive diplomas.

TD on a dart to Colin Johnson! Sam may be as good as anyone in the country on 3rd and long. 7-0 UT

The UCF Knights have not won 23 in a row. They haven’t lost a game since 2016. They beat a top 10 Auburn team in their bowl game last year, an Auburn team that beat Alabama several weeks before. If they win out and don’t get in, not going to be a good look for the playoff system as is. This is the perfect year to throw the mid majors a bone. At most, we will have Bama, Clemson and ND undefeated. I hope Michigan wins out so they will have to make a choice (and knowing the ncaa, the wrong one). But whether it’s Michigan, OU or whomever, UCF will have earned its shot to be taken over any one loss team. But they will probably lose to South Florida and bail the ncaa out.

I love his “i will plat anyone, anytime, anywhere attitude.” Testament to silsbee too that one of the best big school’s in our state; a school that has an absolute lock burger boy and some other D1 talent. In other words, SG is one of those draws that translate nationally this year. And here they are getting the Tigers. Saw that the team got to big D last night. Let’s go Tigers!

Why I love CBB so much. Obviously you can’t possibly replicate the system in football. But the huge RPI reward for scheduling these games gives us so many early season games like this. The Gonzaga Duke game yesterday was just unreal.

Posted on the other thread. To be fair, took Kerwin Roach playing out of his mind to pull it out. I don’t think we can expect him to shoot 80 percent from the field and 100 percent from beyond the arc too often. But it is nice to finally finish one of these tight games against a top 10 opponent. CBB has been insane so far this season. So many phenomenal, tight games pitting big time programs.

Wow. Big win by the Horns. Kept waiting for us to blow it. Was not expecting this after watching a couple of games so far this season. Finally finished one. Now to learn to play this when they aren’t playing a top 10 team.

Man me too

I agree. Definitely a contender. Henry is a player for sure. 5A is really interesting. You have your usual suspects including Lancaster. Watch out for Sulphur Springs. They are ranked around #15 but they beat 6A #2 Rockwall last week. 6-8 OU signee Victor Iwuakor can go.

But especially ours Happy thanksgiving to you too

You saw the best game of the day - Shadow Creek vs Concordia. Going in that was the premier matchup and sounds like it lived up to its billing. I know where you are coming from - Yates-MR is an intriguing matchup. But it wouldn’t have been a good game in my opinion. Would not have been surprised if Cryer-Lampkin ended up with 80 points between them. Here are the scores from the evening games: Eisenhower 73 SA Wagner 60 F Atascocita 48 Cy Falls 30 F Bellaire 68 Houston Christian 61 F

Unbelieveable game. That was March madness worthy.

In the marquee matchup of the day: Shadow Creek 67 Concordia Lutheran 64 F Jim Hicks stated before game that winner would be ranked #1 in the city going into December...

Not that it matters, except for accuracy, but final was 89-15 -

I think this is his last season regardless. If A&M is serious about being competitive in basketball, you guys should pound Beard with the money stick.

Would have loved to have seen this one. I’m sure the Hawks were playing with a ton of heart for their fallen teammate. And sounds like it was a chess match between two of our best coaches. -
