  1. Baddog is on his way up there right now with a UT onesie. In all seriousness, hope all is well with baby and momma.
  2. I rarely even open up that particular board although I’m sure it serves its purpose and there are many who have an interest there. Accordingly, thanks to Tigers2010 for the heads up on the entertainment. I usually depend on Hagar to let me know if there’s an interesting thread I should read but I’m guessing he doesn’t make it to the Yourh Sports board either. Apparently, also hot off the presses, is the Pee Wee Power Rankings.
  3. Congrats!! (And no one should ever have time for that BS.)
  4. I’m going to need you to define that for me thanks in advance!
  5. Wow. Just wow. Another in a line long of reasons football was not a game meant for 9 or 10 year olds.
  6. Don’t delete yet! I’m going to read now...
  7. I seem to recall some Republicans bringing up some very distorted “facts” from a man’s early years (I.e., HS or college years) for political gain. Since it’s been in the last month, I don’t have to rely too hard on my failing memory. Again, glass houses (plenty of hypocrisy to go around these days).
  8. Delaying until after an election? I wonder when was the last time that happened? You know, glass houses (on both sides)....
  9. Sorry aggy fans. Once that end zone gets closed in, there will be lap seating added to Pyle Field (to keep up with the Joneses of course). You can only “narrow” to add seats to that tackle box so many times. The bad news is waving those dumb little hand towels is going to take some synchronizing. And the swaying could end up assaultive. Oh the horrors!
  10. This is the best team WOS has played (no disrespect to Newton) and they have 2 losses. They may not be tested again with the exception of the Silsbee game. Crosby wins by at least a couple of scores but hopefully another stepping stone for the Mustangs for their ultimate goal. As for last year’s game with PG, those teams were pretty evenly matched from what I saw. If I had to handicap the game being played again, I probably would make PG a slight favorite. If the stangs had JD taking snaps for another year on that team, I could see the “9 out of 10” argument. Otherwise, no way no how imo.
  11. I would not be surprised if it was 10-14 and I would not be surprised if it’s 40. Ole Miss is better than most think. Alabama is on a different level than every team in the country. Clemson, Georgia, Ohio St, (and maybe OU or Auburn) maybe have the talent to give them a compelling game. I’m not sure anyone else can. I might even throw LSU into that bunch although I’m not sold mushmouth is equipped to battle Saban. And no one give me comparison scores of games those teams have played. I’m talking about talent and the ability to get up for an Alabama game and not be intimidated. I would be shocked if the Tide doesn’t run the table. But maybe they’ll find a dog fight before it’s all said and done. Again, when you give the GOAT CFB coach GOAT-type talent with an NFL-caliber QB, it’s almost unfair.
  12. In all fairness, Bama could win by 4 TDs and A&M could still be a legit top 25 team. That’s how far the separation might be in college football right now. Bama is scary with average to below average QB play. With elite QB like they finally have in Tua, they’re terrifying.
  13. Just saw a report on the town of Lumberton, NC. The devastation of that community and many others along the rivers there is very real and heart breaking. Maybe it’s the name of the town but it seemed to hit close to home for them. Sensationalism or not, there are a lot of people hurting on the East Coast. Let’s hope we’ve heard the last of the tropics for this year.
  14. Mack knows coaching. He used to make fun of a certain coach who managed to accomplish as much in his tenure at the University as what aggy has done in over a century.* He also assured us that they would run this state with swagger sumlin. So if he tells that Jumbo is the man, I say take his word for it, extend him, and overpay him even more. Plus, it inflates those revenue numbers for another year or two. You know? *Not including the recently claimed, self-leveling titles that they pathetically claim.
  15. Common misconception is that Tigers2010 is a silsbee guy. I assumed the same. He’s not.
  16. Only saw a couple of games. Vidor beat LCM by 10ish and OF beat Lumberton by 10ish
  17. Was talking about that tonight. Silsbee and HJ probably the clear cut 1-2 in the district. Ltown/LCM/WOS should be very competitive for the last 2 playoff spots.
  18. Looks like I was wrong. tOSU-TCU drew 7.1 million viewers based on the overnight numbers while Texas-USC drew 2.63m. In fairness, I didn’t consider that USC might not be competitive. I expected a really good game which might draw numbers closer to the 11.1 million viewers who tuned into Texas-ND a few years ago. But at least TCU continues to be an upgrade for our conference....
  19. His obsession knows no bounds. And his continued excitement over early season rankings each year is cute, if a little pathetic
  20. I know. Where is Mr. Buddy Garrity when you need him?
  21. We ended up punting after the roughing the punter and they got it at midfield anyway. But you’re right, momentum is a crazy powerful thing sometimes. If they get the points AND the ball there, they might have driven down and scored and been a whole different game. By the way, anyone else as fond of Joel Klatt as I am? Probably my favorite CFB broadcaster. Really, really good.
