I was so glad everyone got a chance to experience playing at State today. Especially if tomorrow is a close one.

I was shocked. If you told me Maxey was going to drop 40+ and Tompkins would win, I would have laughed. Every round I expect Tompkins to lose and every round they keep winning. I like them better against Allen than Westlake too.

Yates would not beat Carter, or Lincoln for that matter, or at least not most of the time. If you’ve seen all 3, you’d understand why. For the same reason Silsbee would beat Yates 8 or 9 times out of 10. Yates system is just not as effective against elite guard play.

I think that’s about right. I think this is probably the best 2 teams in the state playing for it all. I think there were a couple of teams from that region who would have beaten Yates due to the Lions’ system. This should be strength on strength. I expect it to be close and hopefully the Tigers pull away in the end. Carter kids were saying they wanted silsbee. Be careful what you wish for...

Definitely could use another hot hand from Wesley. Northwest has a few guys that can protect the rim. Also need Clover to have an aggressive game on the boards.

Anderson is a player. Simpson is a physically intimidating but put a body on him and he’s pretty much a roll player. I’m much more concerned with 6-9 Sammie Freeman. He for sure needs to feel that PA physicality or he can kill you on the glass.

Coleman has done an incredible job with this team. He has coached them to their strengths, and has subbed (or not subbed) superbly. He deserves a lot of credit in this run.

chatman doing a great job on the defensive boards. Has to be closing in on double digits in rebounds. Archie has to be close to double digits in turnovers.

He is absolutely giving Archie the business. Tylenol may not be strong enough after this one.

Very physical game which plays right into Memorial’s hands. Doesn’t hurt that Wesley has caught fire either.
