This game worries me a bit for the Bucs. I’m sure Coach Sutherland will have them well prepared. If they play well and execute the plan, they will win. But this is definitely a scarier matchup than what they are used to.

There aren’t many in the state that can throw them down like my guy Mitch. Problem will be the same one Yates runs into deep. Superior guard play is a big issue on a press that’s soft as Charmin on the back end. Mitch would score 100 on a dunk highlight reel with 3 elite guards against the Lions press. And don’t get me started on that mess of an offense. Yates is definitely capable of beating Silsbee, no doubt. But they would be the underdog imo in that matchup (around 10). But both are capable of beating themselves as well so they need to take it 1 game at a time.

Baseball and football, no doubt. Earl is definitely one of my favorites. I guess Bobby Layne and Tommy Nobis would have to be in the conversation. Ricky actually had more career yards than Earl and no telling what his numbers would have been without his weed “sabbatical.” Before it’s all said and done, little Earl may end up being the greatest as the best of a bevy from DBU.

Coach Paul and Coach Thomas have done tremendous jobs this year. I think the clarification was warranted. I knew what you meant and we both know Coach Boutte is a great coach. This area is blessed to have several. But you’re right, some probably would have taken it as a slight on Boutte. I got worn out the other day for calling Sutherland the GOAT on another thread

[Hidden Content] Also, heard an interesting analogy by your absolute favorite political pundit, Bill Maher last weekend. He spoke of one of the lakes a mother drove her kids into where they drowned. Apparently, another lady drove to the lake to see the site, lost control of her car and drove into it. People were seriously calling for the lake to be drained. As Maher put it, it’s not the lake’s fault folks....

He’s outstanding for sure. That particular play was brilliantly called by the coach and executed by the players.
