Agreed. Crazy how many sophomores play for them. This was the year to get them. And that was a dang fine PG team that just lost.

Forgive us if we pass on your Carthage predictions š

Maybe. But Scott Surratt is Scott Surratt. Itās not an accident heās about to have to start putting rings on his toes. He has great players for sure but good grief.

This State Championship game is living up to its billing.

Lamar University not hosting playoff games?

There are better teams, schools with way more titles, etc. But Iām honestly not sure if anyone ādoesā high school football better than PNG. -

Heās been fantastic. So has Dr Taylor, who is as committed to athletics as you will see in a university president. -
Simms Bowie (8) vs Deweyville (28) - FINAL

The Pirates have more football games to win. These are great topics for the off season. -
Going to lose a heartbreaker on the road. Led as much as 18. With a 1 point lead and the ball with 30 seconds left (where they basically had to foul), Lamar inbounds and gets trapped and fail to call timeout. Get tied up and they had possession. Hit the game winner. Sometimes there is some head scratching stuff going on with that team. Basketball 101 type of stuff. Pacific steals on 77-76. Never should have happened. The last basket gave them their only lead of the game.

Would love to see Silsbee win this one. They canāt have one of those sloppy, undisciplined games though. But thatās the rest of the way. Gun to my head, I would pick Bellville for that reason.

THATāS a crazy stat.

Brandon Prouse has done a heckuva job at Deweyville. -
Youāre probably exactly right. If Iām Bjƶrk, heās my first call though. Heād have to tell me no. And maybe it was for all we know. And Iām no fan of B/CS but Iād take it any day over Detroit. Might be 109,001 on places Iād most like to live in America.

What about Dan Campbell? I know itās usually the other way around and college guys move up to NFL. But itās not unprecedented and he is a member of the cult. Guy is super likable which usually helps recruiting and I think heās one of the better coaches in the league. And A&M can certainly afford to pay him NFL money.

Well tonight is the best Iāve seen them play under the Brooks regime. Also the best crowd weāve had in a while in a big win over UTSA. I donāt know if the Roadrunners are going to be very good or not, but itās still a game we would have pissed away in the past couple of years. Hopefully a harbinger of things to come. We shall see.

Neither had Kirby. I think at this point, everyone is looking for the next Kirby. Which might be to say, looking for the next Saban as it appears Kirby isnāt slowing down any time soon.
-
Me too. I really hope they go a different direction. I think heās what Tech was trying to find with McGuire. The next Art Briles. Great coach with all the connections to the Texas HS coaches.

Phil Knight wonāt let this one go without a fight. Football coaches donāt get paid enough to money whip him. But he did spend some time at UGA so you never know if he just wants to get back to the SEC. His agent needs to tell him to be quiet though so at a minimum they can get that fat raise/extension.
-
I do agree with you though. Of the ones mentioned, I think he would be the best fit/surest bet. I donāt know that Lanning is attainable. I donāt think Oregon/Phil Knight is going to let another one get away without a fight. The only issue I would have with Meyer is he doesnāt seem to last anywhere for very long. But I donāt think thereās a more proven commodity available at the college level anywhere other than Smart, Saban and Swinney. Speaking of Dabo, he is another interesting idea. And heās already accustomed to coaching in a cult situation.
-
Thereās more than one of them?
-
You would think. That might be the worst hire in a string of bad hires.
-
$75M buyout. And they JUST gave several of the assistants extensions. Hunter Biden is doing a masterful job running aggyās athletic department.
-
[Hidden Content] Odd timing. Colorado fails to qualify for a bowl yesterdayās loss. Surely not huh? That would literally be the aggyest hire ever š

Good luck the rest of the way! That team looks built for a run to me. -
Buenas suerte amigo
