  1. My thoughts are wondering if a second grader wrote that article. It is not only poorly written, it is terribly argued. But what would one expect from Townhall.com or any other goofball site that pops up pushing propaganda. Again, I have posted more on this subject than I intend to with supporting data. I’m not going to do it again and again. But for those who are “non-believers”, don’t worry. There are still whackos out there who don’t believe the earth is round either! Serious question though, is “man made global warming nazis” supposed to be an insult Eng? Hard to tell because I thought the right wore the term Nazi as a badge of pride? I mean, the President did tell us there were a lot of good people in that faction, and they are certainly GOP supporters. So it’s hard to tell if that’s a derogatory term or a compliment coming from you all...
  2. What?? i think you’ve had one too many gomery weekends here. [Hidden Content] As for the Horns, we will be fine when we get Jones back. Meanwhile, scoreboard
  3. Biggest advantage is coaching? Those little fellas are a funny bunch!
  4. That would be the one. I noticed him back recently with his Metroplex Pom Poms. I thought he might deny those statements but I can’t be the only one who vividly remembers.
  5. I only hope it will soothe the pain of losing yet another meat judging natty to Tech... [Hidden Content]
  6. Jaylon Williams’ cousin Chance Brown (he’s a junior). Had 40+ in a game earlier this year.
  7. LCM would have had to shoot the ball extremely well to keep that one close. I expected sophomore Nate Clover (every bit of 6-7) to dominate the paint/rim and based on the postgame stats, he apparently did.
  8. Oh no...they’re about to “run this state” again guys!!
  9. Edgewood is always tough. Hopefully Bucs get another shot at them in bracket play.
  10. Somebody refresh my memory on the poster who used to tell us WOS was great in SETX but not a state power. The teams in East Texas were much better programs. Oh I’m sure he will deny it now and the old site is gone. But I remember. And I think he recently has come back around. But for that guy and the others who would chime in, I got about 40 reasons, a 4th consecutive trip to the finals, and a shot at a 3peat to prove you had zero clue what you were talking about. Now finish this Stangs!!!
  11. I actually was impressed with both the varsity coach and the JV coach for Lumberton. The varsity coach was teaching throughout the game and, sitting behind the Raider bench, heard and saw some quality adjustments to what was being thrown at them. Both coaches were loud but I prefer a loud coach to one that sits there and does nothing or one that the kids can’t hear in a loud gym. And the JV coach had one of the best lines I’ve heard on a sideline in quite some time (and one I will be stealing lol). I won’t repeat it here (didn’t involve any profanity but I’m sure it wasn’t for public consumption and don’t know he’d want it repeated). But we were rolling laughing.
  12. Me too. By the way, Refugio’s Coach Herring is another one that would have trouble at some schools because he’s really mean lol
  13. Here is the link to the full story, along with another clip for non-subscribers [Hidden Content] and here is a news story on the young man who who was paralyzed and made the remarkable and miraculous recovery [Hidden Content]
  14. Refugio appeared on my map back when the great Willie Mack Garza starred there. Then, a month or so ago, I saw a feature on their team on HBO’s Real Sports. It was a story we are all too familiar with in some respects. A story in which over half the team lost their homes due to Hurricane Harvey. A story where those boys started sleeping on cots in a field house/weight room, along with their coach. The same coach spent every waking moment not at work volunteering rebuilding his kids’ homes. And then there was a kid on the team who suffered what was thought to be an injury that would leave him paralyzed for the rest of his life. Some months later, as he was wheeled through the run-thru by his teammates, he stood and walked to the sidelines despite his prognosis saying he never would. I tried to find a link to the amazing story but all I could find was this promo. If you have HBOgo, etc, it’s worth a watch. I hated seeing the Wolves go down tonight. But if it had to be to anyone, I am glad it was the Refugio Bobcats. Hope those boys finish the job now. [Hidden Content]
  15. Going to be rough sledding until Jones is back. Easily the most consistent scorer on the roster.
  16. Still was the last time I checked a year or so ago. I think second only behind Sabine Pass for local public schools.
  17. ^ This Yeah but we only have KD. Couldn’t come up with a good analogy there Hopefully Bamba will be a perennial all star and we can use him next time
  18. That too. Hayden has length and athleticism to go along with his skill set. And you can’t coach or teach either of those.
