UAA circuit coaches: Jeff McInnis, Tim Legler, Mike Rice, George Zedan to name a few. A couple of former NBA’ers, a D1 College Coach, and one of the most respected high school coaches in California. You might call them “real coaches;” Not exactly shoe salesmen-type resumés. Personally I would put any of those guys might be on the short list of Best coaches in SETX high school ball, if they were coaching here...
He performed extremelywell this summer against far better talent than he will see in that district. Has insane hops, shoots it well, and has really good vision. Hence the offers (although the academics certainly don’t hurt either). Likes to distribute the ball and plays extremely unselfish. The key for the bulldogs this season will be who else can step up.
how In the heck do they expect us to get a rushing game going without holding?? Carter TD gets negated by a hold and Kountze’s Grayland “I shoulda gone to Texas” Arnold gets a pick in the end zone on the next play.
I wonder if Foreman’s dad will tweet that it’s Herman’s fault his son dropped that third down pass? It apparently is that his son has been a notorious loafer in practice, going back to HS.
Averaging 26+ ppg and 440+ ypg coming in. Their defense on the other hand has been awful. But we have a way of making pedestrian defenses look remarkable.
But I will confess I haven’t seen a snap of Baylor football before today and would agree they look pretty turrible. Not sure how much of that is them and how much is us but I am guessing a fair amount is them.
Turned into a good game. OF, up 6, passes on 2 FGs (with one of the areas best kickers) in 4Q to go for 4th and Long in an offense not exactly conducive to long yardage situations. HF was able to get the ball with a chance to score but the Bobcats held on for the W. The loser of this game would move into the unenviable position of odd man out for the playoffs. The Longhorns will need OF to beat HJ and then beat the Hawks coming off their bye week to get in.
