  1. Don't be spoiler alerting my season 3!!
  2. Yeah, especially in season 2, he is really hard not to despise. The breaking point was his treatment of her and the OC. She is something special.
  3. Same strategy. Just from home instead of DKR now
  4. Yes it is. Guys, stuff can be replaced, insurance or not. People's lives were in danger last night, including many I am close to in the PA area. That was a sleepless night, with people begging for help while you are totally helpless. Let's pray for everyone's safety first and foremost. The rest we can deal with and persevere. We've done it before, we'll do it again. In the meantime, here is a song by one of my closest childhood friends that's brought me peace in hurricanes past. I hope you can find it too. God bless you all!
  5. Some of our regulars on here and their families have experienced massive flooding. Fortunately mine has been very fortunate so far. Please continue to pray and do what you can to help the others!
  6. Why didn't the Rangers accept the first offer the Astros made? Because they didn't HAVE to and thought they would try and make a better deal for themselves. Whatever, let me watch this storm surge in my back yard for a while.
  7. Unmmm, Tampa isn't home. They didn't "save a home series." Sorry for the bad press bud but don't shoot the messenger. AND to try and spin it to make the Astros the bad guys is both sad and pathetic.
  8. By the way, I vote the Rangers now have to be the Dallas Rangers, here and forever more. You lost your "Texas" privileges.
  9. I understand that Houston turned down Texas' offer after Texas turned down Houston's offer. But you still just say, "Yes, whatever you need." The atmosphere in Dallas tonight would have been incredible and showed our State's unity. Instead, the Rangers have gotten horrible publicity and deservedly so imo. Tampa is donating to the cause, including some from tourism for this series. Yes, Texas when asked to swap said, "No, we'll play all 6 in Arlington and throw some coin your way." Whatever the reason, presumably for a playoff push that I now hope falls short, the Rangers declined to be the person we want our friends to be. And it looks bad. Justify it any way you want, but they could have just swapped, looked like the good guys, and maybe Karma would have gotten them that last wild card spot. Opportunity missed in my eyes, the eyes of someone who isn't a fan of either club.
  10. You know how I feel bullets, and you and I usually agree. I get what you are saying but sometimes, we have to do things that maybe aren't the best for us. We do it because it's the "right" thing and hopefully set an example for others. And I think that "cringing" Daniels felt during his talks with the Astros was what's left of his conscience...
  11. I wonder what the odds are a fight breaks out in Tampa?
  12. I mean, who is running things up there? On what universe did they think they weren't going to get hammered on this? Of course, those are beside the point of just being decent human beings and helping people in need...
  13. [Hidden Content] in other news, Jerry has hosted the Texans this week. If they really are led by heartless asshats, maybe the Strangers could at least have taken some PR lesson from the king.
  14. Folks, if you have suffered any damage that could be tied to Harvey, please read below. If you know much about our state legislature, when they pass new legislation relating to insurance or claims, it isn't with you, the policyholders, in mind. As it says, even if it's just an email that is dated that you document, get something to your insurance company no later than Thursday: When Harvey moves out of the area, it will be time to put things back together. Some of us have been through this type of thing before(Ike and/or Rita), and many others have not. Regardless of past experience, the laws are changing. *IMPORTANT NOTICE* Texas property owners should be aware that House Bill 1774, passed by the 85th Texas Legislature, will change the law regarding how legal actions for weather related insurance claims are handled. This includes claims for property damages caused by natural disasters like Hurricane Harvey (and does NOT include flood claims). If you need to make an insurance claim related to Hurricane Harvey, you should study how the law may affect you and promptly ask for legal advice. You should give written notice of your claim to your insurance company by email or letter prior to SEPTEMBER 1, 2017 and the date of your notice should be clearly shown, preferably in writing by fax, written letter or email. If at all possible, include pictures of the damage. Keep a copy of all correspondence for your records. Stay safe and document, document, document.
  15. No apparently you don't. I'm saying that only being six months late running a story that was debunked in February could be considered progress...
  16. I found it riveting. One of my favorite shows. Season 2 has a whole different feel though. Interested to see what you guys thought.
  17. Anyone else watch this Netflix original series?
  18. I dvr'd it (and learned a while ago to do an add on with 30 for 30s since premieres usually follow some game). It will be replayed I'm sure over the next week. Eventually I think they put them on Netflix. Was really well done like most of them are.
  19. Dill is actually going to a prep school in Hilton Head, SC - Heritage Academy.
  20. Just finished the documentary. I remember that team well, my senior year of HS. Growing up in East Texas, Marshall with Odell Beckham, Sr. was the team that year, beating the FNL Permian team in a non-district game. Carter scored on a last second TD to beat the Mavericks that year. It's tough to measure dominance with that team given the circus that surrounded the entire playoffs. But I don't think you can call them in any shape or fashion the best "team" ever in Texas. Now if you're talking about the most "talented" team ever, they are at the top of the conversation. 8 pros and they would have likely had at LEAST one more out of the ones who went to prison (Evans, who was probably the second best player on that team behind Armstead).
  21. Williams didn't play football last year. He could have had a big impact on this year's team, on both sides of the ball.
