  1. The current state of the Aggie football fan: [Hidden Content] also, peep the bleachers. Was told by a season ticket holder that if there were "over 100,000 in attendance," he would kiss my nether regions. So I certainly hope there weren't...
  2. Kind of my thoughts. Quick will be able to do what he wants again inside and dominate the glass, but could also get in foul trouble again if Silsbee attacks the rim. But I just can't see a team without SUPERIOR guard play being able to hang with the Tigers. If you have really good guards and a true inside presence, Silsbee is vulnerable. But I'm unaware of any such teams at the 4a level. Yates is probably the closest thing with Mitch (and Hughes at guard). But depth will again be an issue. That's everyone's problem against Silsbee though.
  3. Agreed. I wouldn't think Wise or Sigler either one would want that game. Bport should be good this year, but lost their heart and soul with Chris Rossow's graduation. They will still have the best "big" on the floor when they play, but I can't imagine this game being remotely close.
  4. I don't know about any of that! Lol. But as Ron White would say, we can always lose weight but ya can't fix stupid :/
  5. Been there, done that. Remember Simms/Applewhite? I would think especially with QBs, if you have to promise a starting job to get them, let them go elsewhere. Just my personal opinion.
  6. Touché
  7. Nor smart. Fumble returned for TD and bye bye job. But I'm assuming it's not if but when now anyway. So back to the class issue I guess.
  8. No doubt. I was overall impressed when he stepped in last year. And it's not really close right now between him and the young guys. That's why I was wondering if there was something off field I was unaware of.
  9. CLEARLY not playing with a full deck.
  10. Does anyone know why Hubenak has not played until they were in trouble tonight? Is there something going on off field?? Makes no sense.
  11. I would. One of those nothing to lose situations imo.
  12. More maturity from W.T. Cletus. Give it a rest and go brush that tooth of yours
  13. Forget about being tied with an FCS team. More importantly, how is the attendance??
  14. No one said your friend was dumb. We said your friend's friend is dumb. Get it straight!
  15. I think we're going to like him. And I continue to like Holton Hill more and more.
  16. I call BS. If he's a "true longhorn," no way he speaks as incoherently as you type.
  17. #upgrade
  18. Condescending? Kind of like "a storm blew through"?
  19. A storm blew through? Really? A large percentage of Texas Exes live in areas effected by the storm. I ate my tickets last week. Was able to give them away this week. I am certain plenty ate them. On the upside, pretty predictable aggy jumps all over it since 1) they obsess about Texas and 2) obsess about attendance numbers. The second to the point that they will narrow seats and/or literally borrow the farm to try and claim some sort of superiority over big brother. But in the end, they are who they are. And I'm betting since you guys are right on the slow end of the curve, realizing your coach is not good about 2-3 years after the rest of us, the old 12th man is going to be about the 8th of 9th man soon
  20. No that would only happen with Oregon aggy. You know, the Beavers.
  21. I'm not explaining it to Aggies again. If they are that dense, I really can't help em.
  22. Silsbee's Patrick Hudson with a nice assist on that last Warren TD. 42-0 Texas
  23. He turns 16 this fall year as a freshman. Was 15 this summer playing on a level higher than you will see in high school ball. So he's just a one year reclass, which is not that uncommon. Silsbee has at least two of those, that I'm aware of, on this year's team. As do a LOT of schools. And both, like this kid, did it before they ever got to high school.
  24. Unfortunately, highlight videos rarely feature any defense whatsoever. As a defensive guy myself, i put little to no stock in them. Prefer to see a kid with my own eyes.
  25. Depends on the scenario I guess. "AAU" is a broad and misused term but I am guessing most use it for summer basketball in general. On the highest level (the shoe circuits), they actually vary greatly in style. On the EYBL (Nike) where Boo Williams plays, I would tend to agree with you on lack of defense. On the UAA (Under Armour) where there is a heavy dose of East Coast teams, there is a premium on tough, physical defense. I saw him play a couple of intercircuit games. He can play against tough defense and is a decent defender. Only real limitation I saw was size. But as an 8th grader starting at the point on a 13-3 17u EYBL team, I have a sneaking suspicion the offers will be flowing.
