  1. I was in Pasadena for 3 Nationally Televised games involving my Longhorns. Something says there were probably more folks tuned in for those...
  2. That is a real shame. The higher level you go, the less likely you will find one of these hacks that get caught up in their feelings. Refs, umps, officials should NEVER get involved with fans unless they are being belligerent with the kids or being profane. I just returned from an event where the refs were high major college or even D League officials. And you can tell. Yes, they are better in general but the biggest difference is how they "handle" games. They make mistakes just like players and coaches. But they don't go on the defensive as soon as they do. I've seen on multiple occasions a ref come over and say, "I blew that one coach" or something similar. Without fail, the coach replied that he could respect that. For those officials who aspire to move up or just do their job as well as they can, you know you are doing your job when you aren't becoming a focus of what is occurring on the field/court. No one came to see you do your job and you will have done it well if they barely noticed you were there...
  3. We all need Play Doh... but I'm more of a silly putty type of guy.
  4. C'mon over 5 gallon! I always enjoy you on the basketball board. Now I know why lol
  5. So vague. They want you to answer a question on a topic that should have 10 sub parts. Some I had to answer neutral because I couldn't pick based on the way they asked.
  6. Nash usually falls somewhere between Kaitlyn & Bruce...
  7. Reb and I were just talking about just this. Although many of our answers differed, we agree on this exactly. Too open-ended with not enough specificity to even properly gauge one's view. Some I almost couldn't even answer. But they are fun
  8. Mine was going to be a jury trial. Judge was just embarrassed to have 6 people waste their morning sitting on that jury. On your mom's situation, you would be surprised at the # of cops who don't know that law. I've had 2 situations, both in personal unhurt cases where the cop believed you had to clear the intersection, rather than enter it, before the light turns red. At least when they wrote the ticket before the statute was shown to them.
  9. That is one of the things that sticks out most to me out of all the things he's accomplished. The Anderson twins were such a force that before that mammoth game he threw, I'm not sure a lot of us were aware how good JD was.
  10. By the way Reb, I wish I had taken you to the "pretrial conference." I drive to Beaumont, and luckily they call the cases with lawyers back first. I sit down across from a city prosecutor and slide the ticket across the desk to her. I say, "are you guys really serious with this ridiculousness?" She looks at me funny and says, "yes?" I stand up and say, "see you at trial" and walk out. Had to be the shortest pretrial conference in history.
  11. In all fairness no-look, that is also true of a lot of places not named Huntington...
  12. Our buddy nailed it. It's really not that uncommon with him from what I hear...
  13. I had to help a friend with a Burmaster ticket. Caught my lead-footed buddy going 47 in a 45. Luckily, he was able to stop him and write him up before he did anyone any serious harm with such a blatant disregard for the speed limit. Said ticket was ultimately dismissed by the judge...
  14. Congrats to Nick. He's a wonderful young man who has worked very hard at his game.
  15. And now Brian Bowen is said to have the Longhorns at or near the top of his list. If they sign this highly coveted wing, one of the top classes in the country becomes even stronger... [Hidden Content]
  16. BJ Foster announces on June 5th. Number 1 safety in country.
  17. He is and his brother is as well. I've been impressed by the athletic achievements like everyone else. But I am more impressed by things I am privy to that have nothing to do with sport.
  18. He's not a poor shooter. Better shooter than Magic or Kidd coming out of college. Has an unorthodox shot but it's effective.
  19. One of the best things about Landyn. He never complains, always has a smile on his face and plays his tail off. He will always be a favorite of the coaches for any team he plays on because he's so easy to coach.
