And as far as Kountze and Silsbee playing again
highly doubt that happens anytime soon
the talent gap is a pretty decent margin between the two programs.

True.  But I remember when those games were always highly anticipated, almost to the extent of HJ/Silsbee.  As stated before, as much as I mess with you Lions, I really hope to see a continued rise for Kountze basketball.  Historically, has to be top-5ish in SETX.  Much like football not being as good when WOS is irrelevant, and for with Kountze and hoops.

I have just about given up on basketball. They don’t enforce the two most basic rules of the game

double dribbling and traveling. Used to be you tried not to foul. Now intentional fouling is an integral part of the game. Why not get 4 points for a half court shot? Oh well. Yes, I still enjoy March Madness. It’s just that the game has evolved to a point where I wonder why they don’t just wear pads and play it like football.

Since the 3-point shot can be the game decider, everyone should worry about Princeton. These guys are for real and played, what I consider, a real clean game.

Get back in!  I love this team. And Jabari Rice is as good a kid as I’ve ever been around. I have loved every second of his ride this season. He had a lot of people second guessing his decision to go to UT.  Whatever happens from here, I think it’s safe to say he chose wisely.

I was thinking they should have been a 4 or 5.

Had the further misfortune of being matched against one of the best 10 seeds you will ever see.  Penn St playing great basketball at the end of the season.

The committee was playing shenanigans with some of these regions though   I am convinced they threw Duke and Kentucky in with the weakest 1-4 seeds to maybe get another blue blood to Houston   And I am convinced they put UofH, UT and A&M in the same region to try and ensure you get a Texas team in the final 4

The down side of the portal is already showing up for Lamar this off-season. Reigning Southland Freshman of the Year Nate Calmese, who averaged 17.6 points per game, entered his name into the portal. Fellow freshman Yuto Yamanouchi-Williams, a 6-foot-10 center, said Monday that he will also enter the portal.

Jason Thirdkill and Trey Harris said Tuesday that they'll hit the portal, too.

This is the hidden content, please

Thirdkill is the toughest loss of the 4 imo.  Harris was a walk on who played very little.  Calmese was the top scorer and on paper the biggest loss.  Definitely wish him well.  But there were plenty of issues there.  And Yamanouchi was the beneficiary of attrition.  4th best big on the roster after adding Janko (who also was promptly injured).  With all healthy, he would struggle to get minutes.

..and The University of TEXAS just beat the snot out of Kansas
..76-56.

Twice in one week.  If we could start making shots, we could be dangerous in the tournament.  Have enjoyed this team more than any we’ve had in quite some time.  Terry has done a great job.

I’m just here for the dummies in here that said Tre Johnson wasn’t that good & that LH was only a two man show!

BU no reason to hold your heads, no shame in almost 3 Peat’n you put the city on the map! Great run fellas y’all made history.

For me, Johnson is the best player I’ve seen in Texas HSBB right now and that includes Ron Holland (top ranked 2023 kid in the state).  For those who aren’t convinced, maybe you will be during his NBA career.
