And for the record, this was, by margin of victory, the closest game of the first half of district for Silsbee and they didn't score 100. I could be wrong but I didn't see one person from the other 4 schools whining about running the score up. That might tell you something...

Tough to decide how to spend a finite amount of bond money. LCM is definitely upgrading their "digs" though. Really good district over there imo.

Most of the network types would take the opposite. At least those concerned with ratings But to each his own. It is our national pastime and I always enjoyed playing it. For me, watching it is slightly preferable to watching paint dry unless I have a specific interest in the game. But lots of good teams in the area and wish them all a healthy and successful season!

For some I guess. Based on viewership, baseball gets about half the eyeballs as basketball. But it is still nudging out hockey in this country so I guess that's something

As for Silsbee starters, I don't know why that matters to be honest. Every player on Silsbee's team would be a starter for BC, and honestly the rest of the teams in the district for that matter. Yep and yep. Tyler is a gimme and Vincent was easily the best defensive player at his position this year. And kudos to AAW for the Draper vote. That kid was one of the most impressive players I saw this year.

Sad times indeed. And this is the case whether on a message board, around a water cooler, and even in court. The court of public opinion only needs an accusation for there to be a presumption of guilt. Shame the founders of this country wasted all their time working on the foundation of a system that is supposed to be the exact opposite. And God help any of you/us that are ever wrongfully accused of something. There are few things worse in this world.

Hmmmm. Just saw where in the first 22 minutes, 17 fouls were called on Central and 1 (yes -1!) on Nederland. Now it all makes more sense. Tougher for the officials to call defensive fouls on Central when they hold the ball most of the game. Sounds like it might have been a brilliant piece of coaching by Coach Paul!

I understand. Always places in games where a couple of points could have been made up. Just makes a missed call more bitter to swallow when it comes at the end on a game-deciding play....

What a game. That is a hard fought game against an excellent team. Hate it came down to a missed call.

I will say that AAW is the first one to shut down Silsbee folk for talking basketball smack during football season (yes, I'm talking to you Badsanta ). Now football season is over so let's focus on hoops and give the Tigers their due. Speaking of, is Devon playing real basketball or video games? These stat lines have been ridiculous!

I feel like I took advantage of you AAW. I knew the perception was going to be this would be a lot closer than Silsbee's other games due to Tuesday's results but that it was more than a little misleading. I am hoping and have every confidence Silsbee should be back in San Antonio this year. Hold on to that $100 because if they are, consider that a donation toward you going and broadcasting the games for us.
