What is the attendance for the bigger games at State these days?

That would not be a good move by them, I hope they do it 😂
I think they should take a look at these 4: Pitino - New Mexico, Chin Coleman - UK, College of Charleston HC and Florida Atlantic HC.
Wade will be announced as the new HC at a different place on Monday.

Mark Adams has stepped down from Texas Tech, figured that was coming soon.
Should hire Beard back. Was a perfect fit for both. Would never do it but should.

Hitchcock is very young. The bulk of their scoring, rebounding are soph. Only one senior contributes.
85% of their scoring will return next season.
Elijah Sherwood is a beast. May be the best player in 3A as a sophomore.

All I know is lil Payton gonna get his. Dre will handle his. Harris will too. Ashton CartWright. Another Cartwright. 3 or 4 good players from the JV. That's a championship. The NIL gonna be there regardless.
What if he got seriously injured? Or what if his nil deal was conditioned on not playing any other sport? These kids that are at Drelon’s level can now become millionaires before they leave college. It’s easy for us to say be loyal to your hometown. I can tell you, I love my hometown but I love my family more. Drelon and Jared should both be in the top 1% of income earners in Silsbee, Texas within months of graduation.

I'm not counting on Miller being back to play basketball. Word I am getting is he will enroll early to college in order to play spring football. But, that was based on possibly winning a state championship this year in basketball. We will see.
With what is on the line for a 5* wide receiver in this day and age, he probably should be done with basketball period. Otherwise he’s doing some high stakes gambling.

Most folks outside of Silsbee don’t realize what an unbelievable floor general Bush was. With a PG of his abilities on this years club they’d be special. He just wouldn’t let em lose.
Very true. And I know most of us will never forget that Yates game in Huntsville.
And Devon McCain’s performance against Carter in the State Championship game was one for the ages and one of the all time great performances at state.

I’ve heard Will as well but he’s also being linked to a job in Texas. Have also heard Beard.

The group with Bush, Adams, McCain, and Barnes was almost once in a lifetime. The 2016-17 Tigers had 10 kids that played college ball in basketball or football.
EXACTLY!

Some of y’all told me this group was going to be as good or better than the Adams, McCain, Bush group. I found that hard to believe. Results aside, that has never passed the eye test with me. Thought it was unfair to this group to put that type of weight on their shoulders. Still do. Really good bunch who still has one more year to leave their mark and I hope they do. But as I said when they were coming in as freshman. Really good group of kids but let’s slow our roll. They aren’t THAT.
Conversely, we did have a group that does meet or surpass that group. And they are COACHED by a Silsbee guy. Go get that three peat Wolves!

Good thing Hitchcock got to play the Bobcats from Orangefield. Otherwise they wouldn’t have been tested before state. And yes, I know Lorena played them almost as close but Orangefield had them on the ropes for a good portion of that game.

36 three point attempts and 20 turnovers is a recipe for disaster.

BTW is a much better matchup against FF than we are. FF beat BTW by 10 I’m the season opener for each.
But that was then. I think that if the Eagles play as well against FF as they did today (and get the same refs they had today: sorry can’t help myself) they can win.
Shortly before BTW handed United an L.

Well I guess it'll be interesting to see how BTW matches up with the Dallas schools now 🤷♂️
Probably not well if we are going by history.

Well I got the line right, just the wrong team. Great season Tigers.

Silsbee -5
Looks about right. Would have said Silsbee -6 honestly.

So it’s Silsbee against the only team to have beaten United this year. I would favor Silsbee regardless. If they get Booker T’s best though, they lose. But BTW rarely plays their best.

I'd go ahead and sign on the dotted line 😂😂😂. Congratulations Jared! Go beat Furr and Booker T Washington!
It will all be there. If you can get a couple blue bloods fighting each other, hell he might be able to retire after college!
But yes - let’s just worry about Furr for now.

Has Texas offered?
Yes. Ironically, he got most of his offers after playing with Silsbee in Duncanville last summer. In this day and age, to have the amount of offers he has is almost unheard of not playing with a sneaker team. NCAA setting that up last year gave him an enormous amount of steam. Texas and many others offered after watching the Tigers play a few high level opponents in D’ville. He deserves every bit of it. Kid can absolutely go.

And I believe next year is when all 13 UNC scholarship players will have a base of $1M per year. You can bet the Kentucky’s and Kansas’ of the world won’t be far behind. So it could be worth closer to $2M (with the actual scholarship) if he plays his cards right.

Oh ok… that’s a lot of money… I could see it possibly happening if he gets to the top 15-20 recruit range . I think he is #58 in his class currently. But I feel 500-800k is probably a little steep currently.
6 hours ago, AggiesAreWe said:That's what the scholarship is worth.
When Kalon Barnes signed with Baylor, his scholarship was $700,000.
That’s on top of the scholarship. Have two kids that signed with Kansas and will be in the freshman class next fall. Both are top 100 and one is ranked lower in his class (in the 70s or 80s depending on the service) than Harris. I’m pretty familiar with the state of NiL money in Lawrence. So make that scholarship worth 1.2 to 1.5 million. That’s assuming Jared gets what the going rate is. On the other hand, some that are around him let’s just say might be a little suspect and might have their hand out too (NOT his family). So I’m speculating in that regard.

Just got offered by Kansas University.
Jared has over 20 offers, many Power 5 schools.
This young man's stock has risen dramatically since last season.
That’s worth anywhere from 500-800k. Maybe more by his class.
