OF 13 Vidor 9 End 1 Alex Catt with 11 in the first on 4 for 4 shooting. -
I asked Kimbrough this question earlier this week. He has called many of their games for several years, and was one of the top football umpires in this area for many, many years, including during those late 80s years. In his opinion, this is the best team he's seen in SETX. He said it's the most complete team (offense, defense, special teams). Couldn't really argue with him.

I'm with you on Leckelt. You're right though about the numbers and that's due to the amount of weapons the Pirates had. Only one football and you have him, Mav, Humble, etc...

I'm good with Jeff M being the coach. All things considered, he probably would have gotten my vote. And you all know how high I am on Coach T. But to leave Jack Dallas and KJ Miller off is a bit silly. The two best football players in SETX imo. But as all have said, I'm sure they could care less so should we I guess...

This. Silsbee will have to play its worst game of the last two seasons for it to be anywhere close. This one will be over in a hurry. -
Without question one of the nastiest defenses I have ever seen. And one of the advantages they have is NO ONE is in better shape than they are. It is old school, run and hit til you puke and do it some more football at WOS. Doesn't matter in the end. They are back to back champs. Line em up against who you want; I'm not betting against that bunch.

Monday by DEC (for the second time) and yesterday by UIL. I guess it got deleted because I commented about someone's "sources." But whatever! Good luck to the Jags tonight. -

That is a very young team that is prime to be molded by a great (and legendary) coach. I had no doubt seeing them early in the year that they would be fine (even when they were struggling). And look out in a couple of years, especially if one or two catch a good growth spurt. Impressive win tonight for the Bucs. -

Deleting informative posts now but not ones based on inaccurate conjecture? Got it! -

Some just get more ornery in their old age. Silver-haired fox and REBgp come to mind. Doves just get more senile...

Haven't been on this board in awhile but good to see things are the same. Mack's obsession with the Horns continues. Couple of things, I understand aggy isn't very familiar with high caliber football but the OC for a coach like Herman is irrelevant. Does it matter who Kliff's OC is? Of course not. But when you have a head coach who sucks on both sides of the ball, coordinators are especially important. Secondly, if history has taught you anything, recruiting rankings mean nothing until signing day (and sometimes after). I know, I know, you have to go back a whole 11 months to illustrate that point. And you may in fact get a blip this year in transition, but you will soon be getting our culls again. Like you when you got outrecruited by a losing coach who wasn't a particularly talented recruiter. Why? Visit the two towns and schools and you will find the answer.

Indeed Edit: and Clay's job is doubly hard trying to compensate for the silver-haired fox antagonizing the officials from the stands...
