  1. Yep that's Sam. Their PG Kendric Davis is an absolute dog.
  2. He has games where he does. He had 27 against Houston Christian and to be honest, it looked pretty effortless. To me though, his court vision is one of his best attributes. With a team full of talent, you need a Devon to distribute the basketball. That's not to say he doesn't need to put the team on his back at times but I've always been impressed with how he makes his teammates better. If he played more of a Sahvir Wheeler game where he looked for his shot first, Silsbee would not be NEARLY as good IMO.
  3. My understanding is Kobe finished with 31. Not sure the breakdown but as ccs said, I heard it was efficient. That is pretty impressive against that Tiger D.
  4. One thing about it. He's not going to be rattled in any high school game. Used to going up against the best in the country in the summers and almost always draws the other team's best perimeter defender.
  5. Wow, gotta say it was a lot closer than I thought it would be. Good game to both teams.
  6. Lumberton 45 OF 34 F
  7. Yes. Mack ended up at Kingwood Christian with Coach Sleep Harris. He's going to be tough for the other teams to contain. They also have a very solid big in Taj Royster. He's listed at 6-8 but I think he's more like 6-7. Got some size to his length though and plays very savvy. They will be a tough out in this tournament.
  8. Kingwood Christian Life is a solid late entry into the tournament. Cameron Mack is a handful.
  9. That was apparently a source of the negotiations. I hear the opposite. If Herman chooses, he is free to bring him back.
  10. I'm also hearing Applewhite is not out of the picture. If he doesn't get the UH job, I would expect him to be back in Austin. Also would have liked to have seen Traylor retained but Brewster may be the best recruiter we've ever had as an assistant.
  11. Seeing the staff he's putting together, we will see how this class comes together. After this year, welcome back to getting the Texas culls. You heard me. You'll take who we don't want and like it. Is Tom a lock? No. But I like his chances of success at Texas. And make no mistake. Ol' PM is scared. Because it's either scared or dumb and I'm betting the former.
  12. Miss St lost to South Alabama who lost to ULL sooo...
  13. Chins up Titan fans. Good news is after being the best QB on campus since he was a freshman, you have a kid who will finally get to start his senior year. And watch how much more effective Hines will be with Jones taking the snaps and a threat to pull it and run.
  14. Best post in the thread! (Honorable mention to Goblin for breaking out the Oxford comma reference - which like REB above, I personally prefer.)
  15. It's jealousy. Besides, you would make the 5A teams look like "boo boo" too but only one of them had the stones to play you. And they looked like "boo boo," unlike when they got into district.
  16. Did a player, A PLAYER, complain in a tweet about the coach losing control of HIS locker room? Smh. Look no further than this tweet to see a lot of what's wrong in our world today...
  17. They have a few different guys who can step up and do that. Last time it was Slazinski who stepped up and led them to a win. I agree with winwin. If they can play Silsbee that close (and beat GLV by 20 the other day), they will waltz through their TAPPS division.
  18. I guess we need to root for PSU, Wash, and Clemson all to win (and Bama to lose for that matter), to really stir it up. But it probably won't happen that way and the committee will get a layup.
  19. Wow. The new UT coach (and Mensa member) Tom Herman is really something else. Hasn't even coached a game and already has the Longhorns bowl eligible!
  20. Over Washington I guess. If it's me, I probably put in Wash and leave Penn st out. But committee will put in PSU I bet. Yet another reason to have 8 with 5 conf champions and 3 at large.
  21. Although I'm pretty high on Chad Morris too, and he's an Ag. Good news is he might get to audition with Baylor for a year or so to audition for the Aggie job as well.
  22. I think he might be the guy too. A lot of really good ones got their start in the MAC...
  23. If Penn St wins, you have to put them and tOSU in IMO. Ohio St has the best resume' and the B1G is the best conference this year hands down.
  24. Wow. Really surprised this one was even close. That trio of sophomores for WC are really good though. Good win Tigers!
