  1. Jones and Valsin are two of the best kept secrets around. I don't know about Hines but I know those 2 are excellent in the classroom as well.
  2. I'm with you guys, but opposite. I did marry a Filly...
  3. I remember a couple of years ago being ridiculed for predicting how good Silsbee was going to be last year and this based on a couple of 8th graders. I won't mention names (*cough* Nash *cough*) but was told that you can't predict how well a player would do in high school based on how they did in junior high. To an extent, that is true. But talent is talent. Or maybe I got lucky that they actually both were two of the better players on a State Championship team as Freshmen..
  4. [Hidden Content]# Here is the digital version
  5. Richard (a junior) is their only returning player from last year's team (but he was a starter and a good one). The rest of their roster was all seniors. However, that school is full of gym rats (kids that live in the gym, not the Central variety) and, as we know, are superbly coached. I expect they will be plenty good, but not the team they were the last 2 years obviously. I will get a look at them in person next week.
  6. Exactly about the games and New Year's Eve. And about same problem THIS year.
  7. I was suprised this wasn't on the board (apologies if I missed it). This is now flag-worthy in the league?
  8. Washington also beat a respectable Stanford team by 38 and Oregon by 49 (yes 49). Granted, Oregon is a far cry from where it once was but #10 Nebraska needed a game ending miracle to beat them. The Ducks also just beat ASU by 19, the same ASU team that narrowly beat UCLA (like A&M did). And of course UW just beat a tough Utah team on the road. So unless we are teleporting back to when the SEC was actually as tough as aggy seems to think it still is, Washington's resume' is more impressive than aggy. You have one win as impressive as at least 3 of Washington's, Auburn. And like Washington, your OOC schedule is garbage.
  9. Bravo Nash. This new found philosophy will make the next 4 to 8 years more palatable for you. Proof yet again that it's never too late to evolve...
  10. Baylor called and wondered if they could have the numbers of the ADs at Prairie View A&M, New Mexico St. and UTSA so they can bolster their schedule like aggy. Believe me when I say you are going to hear plenty about that holy trinity of garbage if you keep winning. But they have the superstar people are going to want to see if they win out. The playoffs last year got horrible ratings last year and the network execs weren't happy. There is a TON of money invested in this new system and they are going to want some ROI. To date, Louisvile has the second highest rated game of the year (behind UT/ND of course) at over 9 mil (the former viewed by almost 11 mil). That game was followed closely by Ohio State/Wisconsin at just under 9 mil. This thing is still about the money, despite what they tell you. And Lamar Jackson is the face of CFB this year.
  11. A very prominent member of this site is an aggy "t-shirt fan." Since you guys apparently have such a distaste for "t-shirt fans," have you asked him to change his user name?
  12. Mack spends more time on Longhorn sites than any Longhorn I know. He also has posted about 70% of the posts on the Big 12 thread. But he's moved on...
  13. Says the guy who won't take the bait either. Sorry I said zero chance. Bad choice of words. You two can argue how you had a chance after you don't make it. One question though: which one of you is Lloyd and which is Harry:
  14. THAT make sense. To me, Washington has been the second most impressive team I've seen. Followed by Michigan and Ohio St. Even if the mad scientist beats them, I'd have a hard time not putting them in. And the B1G is the best conference this year. If Ohio st beats Michigan, they both get in if Clemson or Washington stumble.
  15. That's the problem with them. I had to make an edit myself. The funniest thing about Little Johnny is that most of us knew a Little Johnny or someone close. Except for REBgp. He WAS Little Johnny.
  16. Not only can you, I'm sure it's being prepared. Well, that and the other Good Housekeeping National Championship from 19 ought 8 banner you guys will be sneaking up over next summer...
  17. You were about 5 minutes later than I thought you would be. Better get that 2 to 1 while you have the chance! It's free money because, as you can see, it's a veritable lock!! Those aggy tears are going to be extra sweet this year, I can already tell....
  18. He might be my favorite.
  19. That portrait in the back of himself cracks me up everytime. That guy is definitely cut from the aggy cloth. Texas aggy vs Mississippi aggy meet again. Thoughts and prayers for Starkville livestock...
  20. On Friday, an elementary school teacher poses her students a challenge.... "If you can tell me who said the following quote, they don't have to come to school on Monday: 'We have nothing to fear, but fear itself'" A hand shoots up and little Billy Tran says "Franklin Delano Roosevelt". "Correct, Billy. You can have next Monday off" the teacher replies. "I'm Vietnamese, we value education I'll be here Monday". "Ok" says the teacher "Lets try another one: 'Nearly all men can stand adversity, but if you want to test a man's character, give him power.'" This time the hand of little Susie Hou rises. "Abraham Lincoln" "Correct Susie." the teacher asserts "Enjoy your day off" Susie says "Oh no ma'am. I'm Chinese, we also value education I'll be here early on Monday morning". "F#%€ing immigrants!" a voice says from the back. "Who said that?!" the teacher snaps. "Donald Trump..." says little Johnny "...I'll see ya Tuesday" Sorry, almost put this on the joke the thread in the Locker Room but thought it was funny enough to warrant its own thread...
  21. He has a young team and a major rebuilding project going on. He might not have thought taking some major lumps against Silsbee early in the season would be beneficial to his team. But that's a guess and far be it from me to question a Hall of Famer and what he is trying to do with the program he just took over .
  22. The delusion seems to never end in collie station...
  23. Depends on what sport. Football, advantage Britt. Baseball and basketball, advantage Pat (although he was an all state QB himself at Lindale in the late 80s, matter of fact, he was all state in all 3).
  24. I'm not complaining about LCM. Most of the WOS kids that switched over there are because their parents moved north of the interstate which is their absolute right. Besides those already mentioned, Katon Brown started out in WOCISD
  25. But what an idiot. I think Tech should let him thru unabated and let Patrick drill him in the jewels a la The Longest Yard.
