  1. Johnny Manziel. Oh never mind, I thought you said AA.
  2. Klatt gets it. Skip (a huge OU homer) gets it. Most people get it. Aggy doesn't get it and never will. But in all fairness, that's not uncommon amongst envious little brothers...
  3. Yes, he usually doesn't get off to fast starts and then fall off the rails so I am sure the Ags are in for another flawless October. And even if they aren't, please keep the guy. He's aces in our book!
  4. You have to question whether someone who makes such statements has the temperament and/or judgment to be officiating any games. As Mamba pointed out though, it is remarkable to me how many officials wear their emotions on their sleeve. I saw several events this summer where collegiate officials were working the tournament. They blow calls just like anyone else and it's to be expected. None of us are perfect. And although they blew far less calls than the high school officials and were far more consistent, the thing that stood out to me was almost none of them took anything personal. They were there to do a job and focused their efforts there. There are some really good officials in this area. And the ones who stand out, go about their business and aren't consumed with what coaches and especially fans are saying. And to be honest, if you are paying that much attention to a school's fans to be able to rate them ("the whiniest and most arrogant"), I would have a hard time believing you are focused on the task at hand.
  5. Well, I mean, a lot of people are saying that. So are many people...
  6. I, for one, am very thankful for the Prairie View A&M, New Mexico St., Texas State schedules. We love Sumblin and hope he has a long career with many more extensions in College Station with 6th-8th place conference finishes. I like the buying into the "well the conference games are just so tough excuse."
  7. Hermann hasn't exactly made it a secret where his dream job would be. It's not in Baton Rouge. Not going to rehash the Saban debacle but suffice it to say, that was a nice parting gift from Coach Brown.
  8. Subterfuge. Bruce Feldman reports today on the Herd that there was a 7-5 benchmark going into the season that has now been raised to 9-3. I honestly don't see, barring a miraculous recovery, how he survives. I think the U of H success again, coupled with the Miles firing, has no small bearing on this. Hermann is the hot commodity and they don't want to lose him to LSU by hoping against hope with Strong for another year.
  9. I mean I'm not sure but I've been hearing things...
  10. Lol - not yet. I heard they weren't even sex tapes. I was told the Donald has done more explicit stuff on stage with his daughter...
  11. Would love to see a poll of Pence vs Hillary after tonight. My guess is it would be a healthy advantage. Unfortunately for the GOP, he doesn't speak nearly as often or loudly as his boss.
  12. How can you not root for a guy named Patrick Reed? His performance on Sunday was epic. Although the Ryder Cup is played for love of country (or Continent for the Euros), you gotta think the guy cashed in big time on Sunday. Endorsement deals should be coming his way.
  13. I'm more offended by the drunken, middle of th night night tweets. I only say "drunken" because I'm trying to give him some credit. Surely someone whose temperament is one of his best quality (as he said in the debate), wouldn't tweet asking America to "check out sex tape" of one of the former winners of his beauty pageant while sober. His maturity and impulse control that seems to be that of someone one-tenth his age is much more concerning to me than his tax deductions. [Hidden Content]
  14. Pence was no question better. It's like Kaine studied Trump's debate technique and mimicked it the "best" he could. Constantly interrupting, giving almost exclusively non-answers, etc. However, VP debates rarely have much of an impact on elections. The biggest bloodletting I've ever witnessed in a debate was Bentsen-Quayle.... BUT we have also never had a modern election where BOTH of the candidates at the top of the tickets were this unpopular. So who knows...if there ever was going to be an election where the VPs would be more important than in the normal cycle, this would undoubtedly be the one...
  15. Rory appears to relish the role of the villain. WWE may be in his future.
  16. Wonder if Rory took that fan's dinner recommendation?
  17. Their best player last year, at least in the playoffs, was their sophomore PG, Kendric Davis (now a junior and a TCU commit). (Davis was on the 6A All Tournament team at State last year, one of two sophomores along with Cibolo Steele's 6-7 Gerald Lidel.l) They also return one of the best sophomores in Houston in Marlon Jackson. But as Mamba pointed out, the biggest addition is 6-7 senior transfer Jacob Wiley (from SATCH). Hard to tell if they will be better than last year since they made it to San Antonio before losing to Atascocita in the semifinals. But they most definitely have a chance to get back.
  18. Pretty funny. You know, they might have actually won something in their lifetime but they keep running out of time...or games...or seasons...and eventually life. So you can understand the resentment....
