  1. Word to the wise, as WOSgrad said, Liberty should focus their attention to HJ. It is not a given that they will be undefeated when they play WOS. And I will happily bet anyone that the margin of victory in the Liberty/HJ game will be closer than the Liberty/WOS game.
  2. Lol. See you a week from Friday. It won't be close. Sorry. Again no knock on Liberty, you just apparently have no idea how nasty that defense is.
  3. My choices would be Tyler offense, Vincent defense. I think Tyler is a fairly easy choice at this point, numbers wise. Vincent probably doesn't have the numbers some have but he is absolutely on lock down wherever he is on the field. And seems like as often as not when he is tested, the ball heads back the other way. Clearly the best defensive player I've seen.
  4. They might. Doubtful you can run on that defense but we will see. I think it will be WOS closest district game. And by that I mean the starters may actually play in the 2h
  5. Couldn't cut it in the Big XII obviously! Our trash is the aggy's treasure! Kind of like recruiting I guess...
  6. Yeah. Not going to happen. But I still think you guys ought to do one of those cool documentaries on him!
  7. I meant that could easily happen. In other words, I wouldn't be surprised if they did.
  8. His "bitter aggy lost them to big brother" list
  9. I agree that Liberty isn't weak at all. In fact, I think they will win a game or two or three in the playoffs. I don't expect liberty to lay down either. But they will still lose by at least 30 and probably closer to 50. WOS is that good.
  10. Someone tell Charlie thaf Festivus isn't until late December. In other news, apparently Poona Ford won the "feats of strength" portion of the meeting.
  11. Let it go. You can add Marvin Wilson to your hit list next year.
  12. I know Dan Ray himself has said he believes this may be their best team. As others have stated, the mid to late 80s teams were bigger (both in size and numbers). I will say two things about this team: although Cornel has coached some outstanding Chain Gangs over the years (including a couple of All Pros), I don't think I've seen a more tenacious D from the Mustangs. This group takes it personal when you get a first down. And secondly, the Mustangs have had some excellent QBs over the years (Roderick Robertson and Tremaine Lewis among others come to mind), Dallas is maybe the best I have seen and almost from a pure heart and leadership standpoint. Kid is just a gamer and a winner. So although I don't think this is the most talented team WOS has fielded by any stretch, I personally would put them at or near the top. And along those lines, in SETX this year, the two best teams in my opinion are Memorial and WOS. Memorial is without question the most talented team I have seen and that is by a good margin (if you grade talent as how many D1 type players are on the field). And if I were handicapping that game, WOS would be favored well into double digits. Read into that what you will.
  13. They could easily win that district. I would favor Kountze as usual but wouldn't be a bit surprised if Buna did win it.
