  1. Most fans have no idea how HARD it is to coach a team that is THAT deep. Most coaches don't either because they've never had a team that deep. As we've said, I'd much rather have 8 or 9 that can REALLY play. Silsbee is well into double digits. That said, I love the schedules that Sigler puts together. They should play some super tough teams in some of those tournaments and have other great games scheduled as well. Hopefully this keeps them battle tested and gets them ready for the playoffs because they may not even be remotely tested in district.
  2. Remember when the Aggies would crow about half of the top 10 being SEC teams early in the year and then when they started dropping, it was only because they were beating each other. At least now it's one team, and then they start sticking the rest in 15-25. Everybody is starting to get the picture...
  3. Wee see you down there little brother. Gomers scurrying around, making room for another banner. And praying Bama wins them one...
  4. But if they ran, presumably they would run in the party they support, the Democratic Party. What a couple of dummies
  5. The biggest issue is getting "meaningful" minutes to the ones who need it. No matter the depth, some will better than others and should be out there more as a result. It won't be an issue through district and most of the playoffs though. Silsbee is just that much better than those opponents. There will be some great action predistrict and Silsbee may take some lumps there (Fort Bend and San Antonio if the better teams play in that one). You bring up a great point about finding which groups play well together. The issue there, at least in my experience, is that is a fluid concept and can literally change from game to game.
  6. No doubt. Only going to get better. Lots of speed, lots of talent, but lots of youth. This defense is going to be scary good before it's all said and done. Basically all sophomores and freshmen. Now some random thoughts: I'm not sure if our receivers are better or Buechele is that good. My guess is a bit of both. I do know that I'm not sure I've ever seen a QB at The University with a better touch on the deep ball. Shane is an absolute dime dropper. Heard moving to wide out was a great move for him and if continues to improve, he has a chance to make some money playing this game. Glad to see them perform without the need for the OLs who are dinged or Foreman. Sounds like all will be ready and we need them to be next week. The one place we can't afford injuries right now (other than QB) is the OL. We will soon have some good depth there as well but that's a year away. Texas will crack the Top 10 this week. Georgia exposed as another SEC pretender...
  7. Allen played some big boy football in crunch time.
  8. Need Trill to pretend he's still being coached by Sumblin. The wifey is starting to apply channel pressure.
  9. Allen made some nice throws on those last two scores.
  10. Those froggy fans look downright suicidal.
  11. Game of the week living up to the billing in the 4th. Man there have been some games in these first two weeks.
  12. Impressive drive. Gotta convert this 2 now.
