  1. Next two games will be interesting. Dekaney has arguably the top freshman in the area and his brother Is a top 20 junior. Second game is a battle of the sophomores as Westbury has the top ranked and #7 players against Silsbee's #3 and #6.
  2. KJ is a bigger. Similar type of player though. Immense talent, and even more heart.
  3. Here's a video on Tyrone. You guys tell me if you don't see a lot of him in #4. I don't know if KJ will play football or baseball in college but he is good enough to play both. And you're right ladybug. I could see him as a kid who would have everyone talking if he went to your alma mater, UofH.
  4. 28 is a hoss. If LCM doesn't improve tackling, he will punish you 5-10 yards at a time.
  5. LCM wins. Could be a blowout, could be by a couple of scores. Depends on how well each play (and there seems to be a wide range for each of them). I will settle in the middle and say LCM 34-14.
  6. No. BCisBack assured us the WOS-BC game would be closer than the BC-LCM game when I said it wouldn't. So I guess HE has to lay 56 points with Cardinals now. I, on the other hand, will take the Bears +56 please.
  7. I know one thing. BC is Back has the Cardinals laying 56 points against LCM and is taking all bettors
  8. I remember a former player out of Midland named Tyrone Thurman. He was a 5'3" wr/kick returner. Texas Tech took him because he was a local kid and Spike coached him at Lee before going to Tech as an assistant. He ended up being a first team all American his senior year at Tech. And KJ reminds me a LOT of Thurman.
  9. All I saw was a sea of red on that side.
  10. I am shocked too that he doesn't have a Lamar offer. Would be hard to imagine he wouldn't instantly improve them as a kick/punt returner alone.
  11. Apparently on the track. With pads on, compared to KJ Miller? He looked pedestrian. He did have a couple of nice returns though. And he had trouble getting to the corner all night WOS looked like they had the 4 or 5 or 10 fastest guys on the field...
  12. Oh, and you don't get your behind whipped on the line of scrimmage and move the ball, I don't care what offense you run. And their big uns were a LOT better than your big uns. Speaking of, as is often the case, WOS's O Line probably doesn't get enough love. Those guys do a FANTASTIC job. The Mustangs are nasty in the trenches!
  13. You guys have to remember that personnel dictates what you can do offensively. The slot T is a great offense for teams like BC, Vidor and Orangefield. Why? Because you are not going to "out-athlete" the West Orange Starks of the world. Your best chance is ball control, keep it away from them and execute. BC didn't do that tonight and probably can't. But spreading the field brings speed as the key component and sorry, you lose there 100 times out of 100. I know BC has a few kids who are relatively fast but you do not have anyone on the same planet as KJ Miller, Shaw, etc. They simply made the opponents look like they were running with lead boots. Sometimes your ceiling is simply being a playoff team. And all you can do is your best. Unless Steve Worster finds the fountain of youth, BC isn't going to be a deep playoff team in sports that don't involve a bat. And that's not a slam on BC. You guys are WAYYY ahead of where you were a couple of years ago. And should continue to improve. But let's not take a blowout against one of the best teams in the state and think you have to reinvent the wheel...
  14. Although Smith, Cole, and KJ Franks were all Mustangs who brightened Pyle Field for aggy.
  15. Not THAT Greg Hill! The one that played DB at Okie lite and then for the Raiders and Chiefs I think.
  16. Not that one. It was a call on another drive. I clearly posted about the out of bounds call and I didn't say or insinuate that was a bad call. The one I was referring to was with some activity after a play that involved both teams.
  17. I've compared him to Major Applewhite on several occasions. My son said tonight he reminds him of the Horns new QB, Shane Buechele. My sample size with him is one game but I see the comparison. Jack impresses me everytime I see him. A lot of kids are talented and a lot of kids are coachable. JD is definitely both. But he also has something that can't be taught and only a few have. It's so special the best term we can use to describe it is "IT." And Jack Dallas most certainly has "IT."
  18. OH no doubt. Chris Cole played for a bit and Greg Hill played for a few different teams and had a nice career. I may be missing some others but those come to mind. Just saying it's remarkable when you have little ole West Orange producing not one but TWO All Pros within two decades. Only 4 DBs get named to that team each year. Amazing to me.
  19. Yes they have. WOS has had 2 All Pro DBs in the last 20 years with Kevin Smith and Earl Thimas. There is anothther young Mustang playing for Nick Saban that has a good chance of playing on Sunday's as well.
  20. I said tensions were hot before the game. For obvious reasons for the WOS kids. During the game, it was played really clean all things considered.
  21. Probably so. But why risk it? Tensions were hot before the game and BC got humiliated on the field. All it takes is one kid from either side...wise decision IMO.
  22. I heard it was about not shaking hands at the end of the game.
  23. Obviously they wouldn't beat any team in the state but I think you are saying they are the most dominant in their classification. I would agree. Although I will say my pops and I went to see that '83 Daingerfield play a playoff game at Tyler Rose Stadium on a Friday and we went to see the eventual 5A Champs Odessa Permian play in Texas Stadium the following day. You will never convince me Daingerfield would not have beaten Mojo that year. A few of those guys ended up playing on Sunday's (two named Everett).
  24. Glad I'm not alone. My pride wouldn't let me do that. At that point, I'm getting in the end zone or I'm not scoring. And since the other thread got locked, which one of you goobs wanted to bet me when I said the BC-LCM game would be closer than the BC-WOS game? The margin to beat is 55. Good luck!
  25. They might score but I am calling a beatdown in that one. WOS supposedly doesn't circle game but I can't imagine those Mustangs don't have a mental asterisk by the Silsbee game. I am predicting it now though. I think Silsbee and BC will be a heckuva game again.
