You're funny serious question though: Silsbee HAS struggled defensively the first two games this year and several last. But limiting Jasper to 19 pts was pretty impressive. Were they much improved or other reasons in your opinion?

This makes more sense. I was told by someone else that this was the absolute worst officiated football game he had ever seen. Definitely explains why it was closer than most expected.

What are you talking about? I have supported and rooted for Silsbee more than often not (and in more ways than one) over the years. Just because I think they are going to catch a beating in this one (against an Orange County team) I am the "put Silsbee in their place" poster? You sound like Kountze fans talking about you. And I know you're not hitting the sauce at 7 am on a Saturday.

WB getting feisty after edging out a decent private school. Best two teams in the triangle are WOS and Memorial. If you haven't seen the Mustangs yet, you should. If you haven't played them yet, consider yourself fortunate.

Exactly. To be determined for sure. Just saying there are no dominant teams in that district this year. Based on personnel and coaching, they should be competing for the district title IMO. We will see if they can pull it together.

The crazy thing is, if the Cards can get their act together, they have a legitimate shot to be right there for the district title. With Navasota being a hot mess, that district has no power houses in it and BC should be in the conversation.

I am glad I clicked this thread. I needed to see that some folks do get it, even if we don't have the answers. That is kind of the point to begin with. Which brings us back to the intial subject of this thread. Crosby's superintendent who issued a thoughtful, meaningful statement. He acknowledged he didn't hold the answers, didn't agree with the kneeling, but expressed a genuine willingness to have an open-minded dialogue. He gets it.
