  1. Texas was bound geographically to this one. When it opens up, you can bet TEXAS will factor academics in. You guys wouldn't understand since you aren't among the elite...
  2. Moorehead should have a lifetime position at TAMU. Of all the aggy things I've ever seen, his implosion might be the aggiest...
  3. They will end up in the Big 10 or the PAC 10. You would never see a public Ivy whoring itself in a glorified juco conference (academically) like the SEC.
  4. To be fair, you were more than 2 days ahead of any of the media outlets!
  5. Indeed. Best of luck to the kid. What a great opportunity.
  6. May be the wisest thing you have said on this board - then again, you are quoting Coach Boutte In all seriousness, I would expect WB to make a trip to SA within 5 years. It won't be recruiting. He won't have to. To alter a quote from a great movie, "If you hire him, they will come. Oh yes, they sure will come." To pair that with a Hall of Fame coach, the results will happen on the court.
  7. I think he is but hasn't found a MLB to allow him to do that. Dalton had trouble staying healthy and struggled when he was. Cecil Cherry leaving left a void as well. And despite poaching players from all over the state and elsewhere with this incoming class, he whiffed on the two MLB prospects.
  8. His dad is an old friend of mine. I haven't gotten the scoop yet since it was just announced. But I would bet he was told Malik is staying in the middle. In any case, hope he finds the right spot for him and has a very successful senior season.
  9. By the way, being a preferred walk on at a traditional powerhouse like UNLV is an accomplishment in itself, not a slam by any means.
  10. Maybe, but I don't think BlueDove is hating on anyone. He was trying to answer my question and it made sense. Nevertheless, hoping Jaylan finds a world of success with the Running Rebs.
  11. I don't think many are hating. Most all of us hope the kid is just as successful at the next level as he was in HS. And it seems like the move worked out very well for him - couldn't be happier for him that it did.
  12. And you're right. Could be the perfect opportunity for him. Big time program with some recent chaos. Hope he knocks em dead there.
  13. I see. Thanks for the info. Makes sense.
  14. Not trying to rain on anyone's parade but is this confirmed anywhere? Not showing up on any of the usual websites, nor does it show an offer from UNLV on their offer lists. There is a point guard out of Memphis named Jaylen Fisher (played for Team Thad) who was committed to UNLV but has subsequently decommitted. Hope it is true but strange he hasn't posted it on his Twitter (most kids instantly tweet any offers, and certainly if they commit). Just trying to see if this is accurate.
  15. This is a fabulous notion. And I agree with westend. At least with voters, I think it would receive tremendous bipartisan support.
  16. You didn't just go Thomas Hobbes on us!
  17. Especially when the best player on the board is another OLB - Jack. Jerry Jones is putting together quite a draft - for Jacksonville...
  18. Exactly, it's not the same but this season has been way better than the first. And it does help a little to distract between seasons of TWD. And at least for me, it seems to pick up a little bit of steam each episode.
  19. They used to! Apparently closing at 7 now. Next time I'm headed your way, I will call ahead and get your order
  20. Well I can report good news. At the first two big sneaker stops in NYC and Indy, virtually every big time coach was in attendance (with the exception of Coach K). The two biggest rock stars among the kids were Jay Wright and Shaka. There was a huge buzz wherever they were. The future is bright on the recruiting front.
  21. They can start at my house. Picked up a couple pounds of sliced brisket from JB's on the way home tonight for sandwiches. Still the best in area in my book.
  22. These days very little doesn't confuse me politically on all fronts. I am either steadily getting dumber or logic is ceasing to exist among our elected officials and the voters...
  23. These two are way less popular (via polling) than the last several losers in the general election. What happened to having to be likable to win the White House a la Reagan and (gasp) the Clinton who possesses actual balls? I'm really starting to realize I have no idea what is important in getting elected anymore.
