  1. And what facts are you so proud of when arguing Yates is terrible? That they got dominated by one of the best players in this class (as Ozen did when by one of the top players in next year's class against an average at best team)? Or that they lost to a top 5 team in the country? Yeah, you are a regular Johnnie Cochran. (Rest in peace one of the best litigators of all time. That was facetious brother.)
  2. I don't think I'm old and stupid but I don't end my posts like a 12 yr old girl either As for Fox just being taller and more athletic, let me help you out kiddo. Height and athleticism (speed, quickness, vertical, etc.) all help in playing basketball. Big parts of the game. Hth. And Fox averages over 32 a game and is one of the 5 finalists for the Naismith award (granted, it's not a Willie Ray Smith finalist but still pretty prestigious). Point is, the kid can put it in the hole. As far as making dumb comments and predictions, I may have to defer to you. Because if we took a poll on which poster on this site best fits those attributes, I have no doubt you would win going away. So in that respect, you kinda are the resident expert on THAT subject...
  3. Wow. How bad is the coach if they only managed one nailbiting win in 3 attempts against a team which they were "light years" better? If you actually watched basketball, you'd know why your argument is "stupid" and "outlandish." Or if you actually knew how to craft an argument. It's really unnecessary to respond to these posts because you do such a good job of making a mockery of your own arguments As for Fox, you admitted you had never seen him earlier this season and then went and saw one game. Over the past 2 years, I have seen him play probably 20 times or more. If you actually watched games other than on YouTube and the bubble gum circuit, you would know how good he is. But I know, I know. When he is starring for Kentucky next year and someone else is just getting minutes in your old conference, it's because all these coaches are hung up on rankings and such. And when he is a first rounder and others aren't, it will be just because those dumb GMs are hung up on mock drafts, rankings and such. And in case you are looking for more "facts," in the time I've wasted typing this response, I've forgotten more basketball than you've ever known.
  4. I'm with you and Shovel. I'm more libertarian on most of the issues. No party is perfect for any person, but it's probably the closest for me. Would be interesting to see what a candidate like a Bloomberg could do on a libertarian ticket. Like Shovel says though, it's tough to throw away a vote. Although I basically did that yesterday and still voted my conscience anyway.
  5. Oh, I am soooo with you. Although I will say Morgan has a chance to redeem himself with me in this upcoming battle with Negan's crew. If he doesn't, I am done with him for good.
  6. See what I mean, SportsJunkie32? Don't attribute the delusional ramblings of one clown to the entire site...
  7. While you are laughing deliriously, remind me what the outcomes were of the 3 Ozen/Central games, sport? I seem to have forgotten. I may have missed one out of three but your wrong more often than a broken clock. And I'm quite sure I watch wayyyy more basketball than you, albeit it is at a much higher level in the summers. That may explain your rudimentary ability to differentiate different players/teams. And I have no doubt if DeAaron played at Ozen or for a certain local summer team, he would be the second coming of Steph Curry in your deluded eyes....
  8. Paul Finebaum is killing a Bama Trump supporter on the air right now.
  9. Elkins beats Yates but has their hands full. Yates has one of the best shooters and scorers in the area. I'm with Mamba - could be a game where each goes for 90. This also plays to Ozen's advantage. Dove has assured me fresh-er legs are vital this time of year.
  10. Most of the statements that will "WOW" you are made by one "challenged" individual. He has told us that Atascocita isn't that good, had to go see DeAaron to see if he was actually any good, etc. etc. All I can say is that individual is truly a legend in his own mind...
  11. By the way, let's not forget to congratulate San Augustine on a fantastic season. They faced some adversity and ended up losing to one of the best teams I've ever seen in this classification. I thought going in these might be the two best teams in this region. The Wolves should be proud of a job well done this year.
  12. I would have never believed Donald Trump could win the GOP nomination. It is looking more and more like a certainty. Smitty, you may have something with this low information voter thing. BUT, I think it is pretty clear there are plenty of them voting Republican. There are a lot of theories on who to vote for and why. I respect those of you who vote that way and that is my personal view. The guy I voted for today came in third. I think the die is almost cast at this point.
  13. My issue was "continues to be far superior." In the last 2 years, Ozen has produced 2 D1 players, Central 3. And with the freshmen and sophomores, Silsbee probably has the most D1 prospects, especially if you consider the Bush kid a part of next year's team. Of the ones on campus now, Silsbee has 2 rated in the top 10 in the greater Houston area of their class. HJ has the only other in Parquet.
  14. I don't know that I would go that far. I think even most Ozen fans would concede that Central has had, if not similar talent, at least close to the same talent the last few years. And IMO, Silsbee has talent that isn't far inferior to any team in this area...
  15. Yes, but it's nice his grandchildren are able to experience his freshman year at The Ohio State University.
  16. Not quite. But I would agree that the good coaches and programs do.
  17. He does a good job of mixing in humor but his staff does an excellent job of research. And his rants aren't necessarily party affiliated. In the same episode, he does quite a number on Obama for the Gitmo fiasco:
  18. Maybe so. I just don't see it as one or the other. DV, and myself, have consistently said Saveat has done a great job at Ozen. But you are probably right about English getting more praise overall. Most of that probably has to do with where the two coach.
  19. Well, at least they are still on campus . Then again, they weren't stuck in a craphole they couldn't wait to get out of, like a couple of 5 stars I know...
  20. Yes, because this thread gives him no credit for the job he's done. Do you actually read what people say about Saveat on this site or are you so used to playing the "poor me" act that you can't help yourself?
  21. The numbers say slightly over half of the country disapproves (52-55% depending on source generally). Although I will grant you that if you polled only people who actually vote, that number is likely to be much higher. Having said all of that, the Dems are likely to pick up seats in both the House and the Senate this election. However, it doesn't look like it will be enough to gain control of either (a few in each).
  22. I have read the opposite. One of the producers stated that even more than Rick, Darryl was the one character they couldn't kill (although he did say Rick and one other as well, I think Carol). Basically his point was that Darryl was the most popular character and they feared losing at least half of the audience (I.e., the women) if they killed him. I guess no one is safe on this show but I would be truly shocked if Darryl or Rick were killed.
