  1. fair enough. It hurt mine too since it's like banging your head against the wall. And by the way, let it be known hippy is a very bright guy from Lumberton who is also a conservative. So no stereotypes by me. I don't assume anything until it's proven to me! Now back on topic!
  2. I will resolve to be impressed you know idioms, even if the concept of modified idioms was a bit foreign to you. I will post a funny video below on the subject with a language warning. In the meantime, I have emailed NASA and various members of congress to let them know they needn't worry anymore. I have been informed by Billy Bob from Lumberville that it is all a hoax and that science shouldn't been researched by the academia. (But I will have to get back to them as to who should do the research. Still a little unclear there.)
  3. pot calling the snow black... :D
  4. I would never stereotype. You have the market on that. Don't be so insecure!
  5. cheer up. NASCAR is Sunday.
  6. The hysterical part of that, and I do mean I got a literal laugh, is you apparently think you "won." As for the second paragraph, you would never know. Quite obviously. And I have zero doubt about that
  7. I am all about the blue collar worker. But I prefer scientists for science, and doctors for medical opinions. Call me crazy. But again, I'm sure it is bliss in your world. A little Limbaugh and Fox and you're all good. What you don't know probably won't kill you in your lifetime. So it's all good little buddy
  8. But to be fair, it's only 97%. Sorry I was off 2.9%. But carry on. I'm sure it is bliss... [Hidden Content]
  9. the laughter of someone who has concepts sailing over his head...lol....smh
  10. From 2000 to 20009, A&M played in the Big 12 Championship ZERO times, much less won one. Is this another one of your imaginary championships? I'm actually starting to feel sorry for you pal. #pathetic
  11. You, on the other hand, actually make sense with your argument. You must have missed the class which teaches to make statements void of logic and reason. BUT, you actually make my point for me regarding USC. What did I say? With the right coach, they can be dominant again. You say take out the Pete Carroll years. But that is my point. During his stretch, they probably had the most dominant run of this short century, winning 2 NCs in a row and were a last minute touchdown by Texas away from the never before accomplished 3 peat. In that stretch, they merely won 34 in a row...
  12. Again, sometimes you can't fix, well, some people. Let's see Sport, in the 10 years from 2000-2009, Texas won 110 games (averaging 11 wins a year - yeah, prob need to spell that out for you), finished in the top 5 five times, top 7 2 times, and never lower than 13th. They were 7-3 in bowl games. They won more national championships (1) than your school has in your lifetime and played for another (which you also haven't experienced). Now, I know aggy always uses the old conference championship argument. And I know these are as elusive to you as Natty's are to real schools. But give it a rest when you try to say Texas wasn't dominant during that decade. Unless you are trying to contribute to the stereotype that aggy really is an embecile. In which case, please continue!!
  13. 100%. Unlike some of the bozos we have such as Chip and Ketch...
  14. right. Which was my point - before 2000-2009
  15. This coming from the party that continues to deny climate change. "99.9% of the scientific community concurs that climate change is real? Meh, agree to disagree." But your point on studies is well taken. Someone get a hold of those liberal hell holes known as the Ivy League and get them down to one of those intellectual Meccas like Liberty University or Bob Jones so they can learn how to really conduct research!
  16. Gotta hit Mom's Tamales in Pasadena when you go. They did a Diners, Drive ins & Dives there. It was outstanding.
  17. all of which existed in the last decade too. But it is good for everyone to have hope.
  18. So glad you are back on the board. Funny, funny stuff. Had forgotten Major was at UH.
  19. It seems it is almost inevitable that one will be gone. But that's everywhere - see QB transfers every year. The good news for the Aggies is this usually is a rich person's problem when you are able to land elite QBs like Allen and Murray in close proximity. QB isn't a position like the others where you can share duties without much interruption. Rarely have I seen a true QB platoon system work. So the team has to decide who they want to go all in with and hope the other kid will stick around. If not, you still have your number one guy. I am with you and OT that Allen just seems like he's struggling physically (from the injury). He seems like a great kid with a potential future in the game. He deserves time to heal and needs to heal, even if the kid's competitive side says otherwise. So, if he doesn't start tomorrow, the rest could be telling. If Sumlin trots out Hubernak, I think we can make a strong assumption Murray will be elsewhere in '16. But my guess is Murray has paid his penance, will start, and will play well. Then there will be more tough decisions in the coming weeks.
  20. Dead on, Mack. Quoted for truth.
  21. I know that is your hope and I guess it depends on your definition. If you are arguing Texas won't return the dominance of 60-70s, maybe. If you are arguing they won't return to the success of the last decade, I think that is wishful thinking. Texas is and will be the flagship of a football crazy state. A&M has had the upper hand at times, most notably during a stretch in the mid 80s thru mid 90s. And then the right guy came in and after a struggle, climbed to the top of the mountain, while spending most of a decade as a 10+ win, top 5 team. Baylor and TCU simply don't have the support or resources to stay above Texas or A&M for a sustainable period. Hell, if Patterson had chosen to play his cards differently, Briles would already be gone at Baylor. And, as much as you don't like to hear it, Texas is a national brand, and more so than any other school, the national brand. It's why schools like LSU who don't and haven't played except on rare occasions, still have an animosity towards Texas (I use LSU as an example because of examples on this board). If you don't believe me about the brand, ask Nike, Under Armour, ABC/Disney/ESPN, or any other partner who pays (or are willing to pay) Texas more than any other school. It's not because they have a soft spot. It's because of the Texas marquee. Go to New York City, LA, Atlanta, Chicago. I have and almost invariably see people in Texas gear. I always try, time permitting, to inquire about their affiliation to the school. The vast majority of the time, they are just fans and have no other tie to the school or the state (or t shirt fans as aggy would disdainfully call them). So, while you are correct that the landscape has changed (who would have ever thought Baylor and TCU would be top 5 teams, much less at the same time), there are just certain schools that are a hire away from being a perineal powerhouse. USC is one of those schools IMO. And Texas is definitely one of those schools. The only question remains is if Charlie Strong is/was that hire...
  22. Exactly. To the kids, some games are big games, regardless of whether that team isn't very good that particular season. For instance, Michigan was pretty bad last year but I'm sure to the kids at Minnesota, beating them was a huge deal. And whether we like it or not, in the Big 12, Texas is a team other schools love to hate, regardless of records.
  23. the big difference is our tradition is only 10 years old now I will admit you guys are much better at it having 7.5 times the practice
  24. that would have been awesome !
  25. Then we agree :)
