  1. Best fans in the country šŸ˜‚šŸ¤£ #GomersHaveHadEnough
  2. Played MUCH better in a 7 pt overtime loss to West Carolina. Lamar would have lost this game by 20+ if they had played like they did yesterday.
  3. First year as D1. They areā€¦.not good. Good news is our staff got their first win against a D1 teamā€¦
  4. Good news is we were able to steal one 73-71. Bad news is we play like that it will be a long season.
  5. Struggling with a very weak Lindenwood team. Cards looking like a second to last Southland team.
  6. Do you really think so? Not so hypothetically, if Desantis runs, it will get nasty because thatā€™s Trumpā€™s schtick. Regardless of what anyone thinks of him, he knows one speed and thatā€™s hammer down. So even if he creates disdain for his opponent(s) in the primary, you donā€™t think the hardcore Trumpers will show up to vote against Biden? That seems hard for me to believe but maybe youā€™re right.
  7. Politics is a fickle thing. Desantis is hotter than a pistol. The GOP would be wise to ride a real wave. Just my 2 cents, which is probably worth less than 2 actual cents.
  8. For sure. I know it was an exhibition/scrimmage but when they 30 pieced a really good Arkansas team, my reaction was whoa. Beardā€™s teams always are elite defensively but this one can really score the ball too. And they have two really talented freshmen who are only going to get better. But I really want them to have a big year because they have one of my all time favorite kids in Jabari Rice. He is just one of those glue guys which was a huge find for the Horns.
  9. I almost fell out of my chair. I asked the folks I was with when the young man finished, ā€œdid we actually just have a prayer at a major college football game.ā€ (LSU was playing Bama). And the fact that it was so shocking is a sad commentary on our society. I tend to agree with my buddy @Hagar and wonder how many of societyā€™s ills can be traced to this absence. And while I do believe in separation of church and state (everyone should have right to choose their own religion or no religion), we are also supposed to be ā€œone nation under God.ā€ And a non-denominational prayer at Death Valley was unbelievably refreshing.
  10. [Hidden Content] Republicans take control of the House. My favorite kind of politics - gridlock. All day, every day.
  11. No doubt. I wish I knew what that was like because my school could NEVER beat Groveton. The one year we tied them (in the state quarterfinals), we lost on total yards (also had tied on penetrations and first downs). As soon as we caught them without a Horace, their little cousin Rodney Thomas filled their shoes. I can only imagine finally beating them. After I was gone, they fell off a bit and then it was Celina who bounced my alma mater in the 3rd or 4th round every year. So heck yeah Belleville should be celebrating. I donā€™t care who was playing or coaching, thatā€™s a 900 lb gorilla off your back for sure
  12. Indeed. WOS was transformed overnight to a mediocre team. And regardless of what some may think, that wasnā€™t the Jimmies and the Joes.
  13. Prayers for those families. And speaking of prayers, I recently went to an LSU football game and they had a ā€œmoment of reflectionā€ where a student prayed over the stadium speaker system before the game. Gotta tell you, there werenā€™t many sober in that stadium that night but the fact they still pray before games? I became more of a Tiger fan that night.
  14. Happy veteranā€™s day to @Hagar, @Mr. Buddy Garrity and all of our vets. Thank you for your sacrifices and service!
  15. Would be the second year in a row A&M held a commitment from the #1 LB in the nation and then lost him (LSUā€™s Harold Perkins being the other). Reminds me of that Seinfeld scene re: taking a reservation vs holding a reservationā€¦
  16. Yes, yes it did. 6 wins is the threshold (I think it may be 6 FBS wins but I donā€™t know for sure because we donā€™t schedule FCS cupcakes like some other folks).
  17. I think itā€™s time we include the aggy. #1 recruiting class in our prayers as they flock to the portal and try to make a better decision the second time around. After talking to an initial aggy commit who wisely flipped and played an amazing game last night against Bama, I can tell you he is elated with his decision. When he decommitted last year, he told us sometimes you just change your mind. I told him changing your mind is a womanā€™s and a 5 starā€™s prerogative.
  18. Sometimes a rebel is just too much for a Horseman. Tale as old as time.
  19. Me either. If he caught on somewhere, just wanted to know. Like keeping up with our local kids playing overseas.
  20. Is he? Hadnā€™t heard where. I know he had a G league tryout with the Hawks sometime back.
  21. 5 players scored in double figures. Freshman Nate Calmese finished with 33 and juco transfer Jay Buckley of Shelbyville finished with 18. [Hidden Content]
  22. Heā€™s down a few hundred. Gotta keep voting. On another note, word is that a lawsuit is pending against the Hornung Award folks. Something about a math equation as a requirement to vote is discriminatory against the Aggie nomineesā€¦
