I really think by season's end, I would take the preseason #2 in 4A over the preseason #2 in 5A. I think the preseason #24 in 4A would give the preseason #2 in 5A a run for their money. Hoping we can see that matchup in the Gamble.

Funny you post this. I was just about to start a thread. I hear the wheels are in motion to give Charlie a "soft landing." If what I hear is true, there may be some large donations to the U from folks who have never been donors. Golden's buyout is a lot less than Strong's, and this is no doubt a job that could be perfect for Charlie. Texas BMDs pony up for Al's buyout, Strong takes the U job, thus making his buyout moot. Win-win.

I take back what I said above. After Saturday, I don't think there's much chance Charlie gets another year. The expectations of what he would need to do the rest of the way are unrealistic, if not impossible. He is not gone yet, but he better turn it around in miracle fashion.
