  1. Golf championships, baseball championships...poor aggy didn't need to switch conferences. They could have stayed put and hung banner for Texas's!
  2. Just think - if Vandy wins again you guys can hang another banner
  3. Absolutely. And one in a long line of NFL Fantasy Football beasts from RB U.
  4. I can confirm this article is accurate in terms of negotiations and the numbers are close. Under Armour set the record for a college deal with its $90M/10 yr deal with Notre Dame. Now, they are reportedly offering Texas about 3 times the standard deal for a top tier college program. However, much like last summer's frenzy with KD, I look for Nike to push back hard. They don't want to lose their biggest college money maker to UA. Now if we could only "run this state." And stop spending so much doggone money!!
  5. Me too. Interestingly, I was told a year or so ago by someone in the know that UT's endowment is grossly undervalued, as large as it is. Specifically, the real estate holdings are apparently valued at when they were donated and purchased, with the vast majority of it originating in the first half of the 20th century.
  6. And what part of A&M earns less than 75 percent of UT (or over 40 MILLION dollars less), yet is more thrifty was incorrect? Oh none of it? Carry on
  7. They actually do. And reading comprehension, which you might ought to look into. Unless "yes" was too vague for you
  8. Not so much. A&M raised 740 million last year. Meanwhile, Texas has over a billion dollars in gold holdings (literally), yet that represents roughly 5 percent of it's endowment. Keep plugging away though. I am willing to bet anyone that A&M does not pass Texas in revenue. Ever. In fact, I would gladly $500 per year that they do, as long as I get $100 per year that they don't. In other words, you would pay me $100 per year for the rest of your natural life...
  9. You're welcome. I realize everyone does not have the Red McCombs School of Business on their campus.
  10. He might end up with your Wildcats, although I am hearing ASU is gaining a lot of traction. Hurley is making a lot of splash early in his tenure there. Not sure about his off the court stuff. Haven't heard much.
  11. Not at all. It laid out the data which I used to accurately state the premise which you quoted.
  12. Yes. The point of the article, by an aggy publication, was that although they make less than 75 percent as much as big brother (even in the shiny new conference), they are much more thrifty!
  13. But it would be funny to have him coaching B.C. and not be in the top 3 or 4 best coaches in the district!
  14. I thought Daddy got him that sweet front office gig with the Pacers?
  15. Basketball juggernaut. The applications will be flowing...
  16. Can we end the Harden for MVP madness now? He is not "elite." He is a player who can score in bunches and when his shot isn't falling, he doesn't do much of anything else to help his team. Cowherd put it best yesterday...he's Melo with a beard.
  17. You got me. Poor choice of words on my part.
  18. By the way, Defenders played Thon Maker (Canada Elite) and DeAndre Ayton (Supreme Court) at the circuit event in NYC last weekend. Neither disappointed. As good as maker is, Ayton was even more impressive (#1 in Class of 2017). Kid is an animal.
  19. Kam McGusty leading the UAA circuit in scoring and picking up offers in bunches. Indiana was the latest as of yesterday. JJ Caldwell committed to A&M a couple of weeks ago and leads the circuit in assists by almost double the next player (believe he's around 8 a game). A&M is a GREAT fit for him IMO. Don't be surprised if McGusty and DeAaron Fox both end up playing for Shaka at UT. TJ Atwood having a good summer and has gotten offers from Tulane and Loyola Maryland in the last month or so. Look for U of H to offer soon as well for him.
  20. Agreed. I have stated this before, but this was the only time I believe a hire was a "home run" from the get go from our Athletic Department other than Garrido.
  21. Yes, let's not get into the Forbes valuation of football programs, athletic departments, merch sales, etc. Let's just use whatever data and manipulate it to make little brother feel better about himself. We get it. We really do
  22. No self respecting sports fan uses Time Warner. Get Directv. You will never go back...
  23. Revenue. When you have more money than everyone else, you don't mind spending it. And when it comes to football, we are the Joneses. So try and keep up (Spoiler alert: you can't).
