  1. Should we compare pro bowlers? Or players in the NFL? No, let's limit it to a specific time period that favors aggy 😂😂
  2. I would like schools who finish 7th-9th in conference but celebrate its conference mates' accomplishments like they are their own. You know, the kind of school whose players perform celebration dances after tackles for loss, despite being drubbed 77-0 at the time? I wonder who would fit that description....
  3. We will try and console ourselves: [Hidden Content] [Hidden Content] But congrats on Houston for a year?
  4. Precisely the point.
  5. You certainly type faster than me. I was typing my follow up prior to this response ;)
  6. But to answer your question, it's the terrorists that concern me, not the religion. Contrary to popular and simple belief, it's the individuals and not the religion who condone terrorism. So if you are asking which group concerns me the most right now it would be the Muslim extremists who are committing terrorism all over the world.
  7. So what you are saying is that I need to keep it simple for you? Duly noted ;)
  8. But which numbers? Since their have been more bombings by so-called Christian groups, are they more dangerous? Obviously, 9/11 is one of the greatest tragedies in this country's history. I agree to this by quantifying the number of lives lost. Just as a mass murderer like Ted Bundy or Charles Manson would be "more dangerous" than someone who killed someone in one isolated incident. However, in our justice system, the punishment for each could be the same, despite the number of lives taken. And, to the loved ones of those killed, it would be "equally" devastating. The point is, and the point originally made, is that as a Christian, I abhor the acts of those who have killed, maimed, and destroyed lives in the name of my religion. Just as most Muslims in this country do with the terroristic acts performed by the few in the name of that religion...
  9. If we are talking the pure number of casualties in a given attack, Muslim terrorism. However, it can certainly be argued that any taking of lives through acts of terrorism (which would include any illegal bombing) is equally dangerous.
  10. The families who lost loved ones in the over 100 abortion clinic bombings in this country probably classify those "radicals" as terrorists too. Thankfully, that wave has been radically quelled in recent years. As a result, I would agree with your premise on current threats. I was just making a point about certain Muslim groups not being the only terrorists who have posed a significant threat in this country...
  11. I know a lot of the particulars with this kid. He made the right choice for him. Very bright kid who has an amazing life story. A&M gives him the opportunity he was looking for in a place close to home. I promise you the Aggies got one hell of a kid/ball player/human being with this one. He is the epitome of a leader, on and off the court.
  12. Forgot to post yesterday. This one really hurts. Starting with the 2016-2017 season, I will officially be a fan of Texas A&M basketball. PG JJ Caldwell made it official and committed yesterday. If you are a fan of pass first PGs who make their teammates better, you will love this kid. One of the best in that class. Gulp...Gig 'Em.
  13. I wasn't saying that in the biological sense of the word. But you're right, probably could have phrased that better ;)
  14. Absolutely not. For instance, the coach who coaches Bridgeport's kids in the summer was on of the most successful HS coaches in the metroplex before being hired away. Average coaches are average, I suppose, whether it be at the AAU level or the HS level. I know you and I have a similar idea of "good coaching" from conversations we have had about particular coaches. Like I said, I don't have near the sample size of HS AAU coaches as I have seen in the HS's themselves. I would say winwin could probably answer this question better than most.
  15. You have a bunch of kids playing basketball. They all wear Marooon and have Tigers on their uniforms.
  16. I don't have as big of a sample size of AAU coaching as I do of HS coaches. I would say that most of the coaching Dove saw with his son at the AAU level he played was better than the "average" HS coach.
  17. I will say you should be very thankful your kids are well coached both during the school season and the summers.
  18. That, like many things in this life, does not have a definitive answer. There are plenty of very good and very bad with both groups.
  19. So there have been more Muslim bombings than abortion clinics bombings in this country by so-called Christians? You're right about one thing - it's not even close..
  20. Always the voice of reason...
  21. Coaches who consistently that see the top talent play top talent, regardless of location/classification of play. It's just not the same in HS, even at the 6A level. Apart from teams like Plano West, you just don't see the conglomeration of talent that you see with the top summer programs. Until you see a kid compete against that level of competition, it is difficult to predict how his game will translate at the next level. For instance, a coach at a Findlay Prep or Oak Hill will carry more weight because they consistently play a higher level of competition. Certainly there are plenty of HS coaches who have an eye and can identify those types of players but there are probably more who could not. You have to keep in mind you are talking about coaches from 6A to 1A and how many are not even adept at coaching at their respective levels.
  22. I would talk about the extension they gave the Shemanator but he did produce a lot of draft picks with his recruits.
  23. You're at the wrong events maybe. Had 15 D1 head coaches at our Friday night game in Louisville (including Bill Self) as well as the Findlay Prep staff recruiting.
