One word: Waco It is a not so well kept secret Briles would have left if offered the job without interviewing. i have had this confirmed by some prominent Baylor alums. That being said, Scott Drew wouldn't be near the top of my list. He has had a lot of off the court issues in his program that would keep him from getting the Texas job anyway.

Barring a miracle, Barnes is gone. The name I am hearing, and have been hearing for the past few years, is Shaka Smart. That's more the popular choice though and this AD has already shown he will hire who he wants. He is a basketball guy though so I suspect it will be a decent hire.

Red Auerbach led the charge and signed Chuck Cooper at the same time. Red also hired the first African American coach in the NBA - Bill Russell. A couple of the many reasons that while Magic, Larry and Michael may be responsible for the sport's popularity, Red Auerbach is the most important figure in NBA history. RIP Earl Lloyd.

Definitely agree. Big O averaged 25.7, 9.5 assists and 7.5 rebounds for his career. And his season where he averaged 30.8, 12.5 & 11.4 is maybe the greatest of all time.

Yeah, Lunardi has had them in all along. I just think they are playing so poorly right now they would be in my first 4-8 out. I am usually of the mind I would rather have a mid major who is playing well in over a major conference school that is mediocre at best. But, if they get a win in their last 2 games and/or make some noise in the Big 12 tournament, I would change my mind. Especially since the Big 12 is probably right behind the ACC in conference strength.
