  1. Very big game for Charlie Strong. Last chance to become bowl eligible b/c I don't see any scenario with them beating TCU. You might catch a WVU sleeping (so to speak) but I can't imagine many players on TCU's roster who won't always relish a chance to stick it to Texas. When you're trying to rebuild a program, playing in any bowl (mainly the extra month of practices) is a big deal. Or maybe more properly stated, not getting those practices is a huge disadvantage. If swoopes doesn't have a bad game, I like Texas in a close one.
  2. At some point, Baylor needs to stop being Baylor. If they win out, they will likely get in IMO.
  3. Question is how a program in the dumpster can attract such $uper recruit$. I'm no expert but I have been less than impressed with Kennedy. Jabs aside, my astute Aggie friend Roper hits the nail on the head. Coach em up and you have a final four type team. If it were me, I'd leverage this class into hiring a top notch coach. "Thanks for the recruits, Billy! Hold on while I call Shaka Smart and see if he's interested in your job."
  4. As Colin cowherd correctly pointed out today, it tells you Vegas doesn't think the sec is that good this year. But I would agree no one could do a better set of rankings than Vegas.
  5. Hmmm and A&M was 13-12 in conference play its last 3 years in the Big 12. Yep, that SEC must be a killer!
  6. And you'll get to enjoy a town people can't wait to move out of once they graduate.
  7. Obviously the committee has figured out that the sec is overrated. Thus, they ranked a one loss PAC 12 and big 12 team over any one loss sec teams.
  8. Good news is he's going to Aggieland. After the places he's been, I'm sure it will be typically underwhelming.
  9. Or the reverse. Seems like the Fab Five has a Yoko in their midst.
  10. Miss st. At least one big 12 team will get in. And, your worst nightmare, they may win it.
  11. I am told it would be a shock if Malik does not end up in Austin. And he is the pied piper of recruits. I am told it is almost as certain that Mack will never be an Aggie. I will certainly bet on Malik committing to Horns. Mack is up in the air. You won't get Hill either. He's almost as big of a Horn lock as Malik.
  12. One name:  Malik Jefferson.  Once he comes, Kris Boyd, Holton Hill and (gasp) Daylon Mack (thanks for keeping him warm for us Ags).   5 star Char??
  13. Put em both in. Probably should be the 1-2 seeds.
  14. If fsu is only a 2.5 fav at Miami, Vegas is begging you to bet the Noles. Which tells you what LV thinks about who will win.
  15. Well, I am guessing they both are interested in winning their biggest rivalry games of the year...so yeah
  16. All true. Could have maybe gotten manning as a free agent a few years ago though. If he stays healthy, been very pleased to See what tony has been able to do with a quality OL.
  17. And on point, I didn't reference Vegas. I referenced realstic Texas guys like myself. I know more than a few who made a nice little Christmas bonus taking under 8 wins on the Longhorns.
  18. Texas was actually up to 8 and aggy at 7 before first games went off. FYI, Vegas lines have little to nothing to do with what they think the result will be. The soul goal is to try and achieve equal action on both sides of the bets. And since Texas has long been one of the bigges sports betting states (esp football), that is a heavy factor in setting the numbers. And they don't only love to bet, the love to bet on their teams. It is a long, well known principle by sharps that most of the time, you are giving away some equity betting on UT, Notre Dame, and USC. Just the way it is. Oregon is quickly coming into that conversation.
  19. We all knew WVU was overrated when they almost beat Bama this year.  I mean, has Bama blown anyone out?  Even really bad teams?
  20. If they make a bowl game this year (best chance is beating a reeling Ok St team), they will certainly have surpassed any expectations that I or any realistic Texas fan had before the season's start.
  21. According to the pundits on Saturday, he is only a year or two away from being in the mix.  I'm not saying pundits know everything but they do get paid for their opinions, unlike you and me (which is extremely unfair btw).
  22. Absolutely not if these one loss teams lurking don't drop another.  For example, if Bama beats miss st and loses to your Tigers; and Miss st loses in the Egg Bowl as well; one loss teams like Ohio State, Baylor, Arizona State, etc. would jump them.  There is no way the committee wants that kind of heat in year one putting 2 loss teams from power conferences ahead of 1 loss teams from power conferences.
