I would agree with pats and say Stanford. Most impressive game was loss to fsu. But notice I said if they win out. That would mean they also beat Az St, USC and Louisville. And they would definitely get in - both on results and the fact they would be the biggest draw in the playoffs.
Bobby Bowden was one of the truly great guys of college football. Many of those he mentored absorbed his class (eg, mark richt and Mack brown). I'm with you. It's more than sad. I often rooted on them because of how much I respected Bowden.
Fsu gets in and is the team to beat. If ND and Oregon win out, they are both in. Count on it. ND and FSU are the best two teams I have seen this year. Auburn is close.
