Texas will really get after you on the defensive end of the floor. Those are the teams I love because you can be in every game regardless of how well you are shooting it. I think this is a great game for the Kentucky youngsters (freshmen) and grizzled vets (sophomores) to get them a real test early in the year. Hard to find many tests for this team.

Me too. They are still pretty deep (not UK deep but deep for normal team) and Felix is serviceable. Losing your leading scorer is a killer though when playing a team like Kentucky, and on the road to boot. May not be the last time we see this matchup though. Barnes has a chance to have a really good club.

Maybe I'm jaded but I just assume now a days when someone is that big and that fast and athletic, that they are on the juice. And to an extent, I understand it. Look at the contract he signed. Look at the money A-Rod has made. I don't agree with it but I can certainly understand the temptation. However, I don't understand how they decide to get involved with a drug like cocaine when they have the world by the tail with so much to lose. I will be interested to see how often he has been tested.

I stand corrected. There was the Broderick (sp?) lady. As I recall, she changed her story so many times no one found her credible. And it wasn't Slick Willie's MO. And Paula Jones accused him of showing her his wiener. And there was another lady who accused him of groping her. But other than those, and an extramarital affair or twelve, Clinton was a choir boy...

It's tough to manage the bowls in that they are, basically, there to make money. However, I agree with OT and AAW and others who have argued for the 8 team system. Give auto bids to the P5 conference championships and 3 at large. And make a rule that any undefeated non-P5 teams get an auto bid as well. I don't think Marshall would compete with the bigger schools this year but who knows. Some of the Boise St teams sure did (and Utah before they joined PAC 12).

Such a great way to put this game. You have to be a degenerate to bet this game. It could be close with either team winning, or could be a blowout with either team winning. As you say, which teams show up. The Ags and Bayou Bengals have been extremely consistent in being inconsistent. I have a feeling the Ags win this one but it's just a guess. Nightmare line to set for Vegas.

Something tells me Texas wins this one. Tcu has not faced a defense like this one this year. I think if Swoopes manages the game and makes a few plays, the Horns win. Plus, this just feels like one of those late season upsets that takes a team out of the running.

Or put another way, the Longhorns have a national championship in both of my children's lifetime. The Aggies do not have a NC in my 73 yo father'a lifetime...

Lamar falls by 13 to a strong Indiana team. Zjori Bosha hits for 14. Pretty respectable showing by the Cards IMO. I think Tic is going to be a solid hire.

I was thinking the same thing today. The new playoff system makes the regular season even more compelling. Best season in a long time.
