I was literally rooting for the Aggies last week (and outside of OldTimer, I don't think many of you Ags have done that for UT). But I am old enough to remember the Arkansas rivalry (and have has my car keyed in that state twice). Never root for Arkansas or Oklahoma against any Texas team. Just can't. I did root for OU for the first time in a long time last year against Bama. I don't think it was a conference thing as much as the Bama fans roaring in cheers when Colt got hurt in the NC game. Still haven't forgiven them for that. I can promise you that Aggie fans would never have done that.

I would agree at least on A&M's part. I know you guys are worried about this game (and I would be too if I had a team playing for anything like the Ags are) but I just don't see Miss St scoring enough to keep up. It might be close for awhile but I think you guys win by 3 or more scores.

Nike has pushed many times. No idea how many prototypes have been created and sent to Austin, which have been declined. They have acquiesced to wearing different stuff in practice. But not for games. Numbers on helmets, minor stuff, but nothing major. I don't see it happening. And Texas is one of the players that can literally call its own shots.

I don't know many UT guys who follow Longhorn football more closely than PhatMack. Thanks for always keeping us updated!

In all seriousness, if Oregon continues to play the way they have their last 5 quarters, they are going to lose at least 2 games during conference play.

So true on the "what if game." Always plenty of those on both sides and that game was no exception. As for the Aggie defense, I agree saying they are better (and they certainly are) isn't saying much considering last year's awful unit. But this one is MUCH better to my eyes, and look to me like they are improving weekly. Which isn't surprising either given their youth.
